Guess who is turning 5 today!

After years of training, Team Handsome now has the skill and wisdom to become Jedi masters! (Yes, we’re breaking with Canon. Even Anakin gets the title bump.)

Happy birthday, boys. Enjoy the new toys. Expect treats when we get home. You continue to be the best little jedis around.

I just saw an insta post talking about how women don’t mind being cat ladies anymore because they’ve been harmed by men, and their peace is more important than finding a human partner.

And as an ace person, well… I’ve been hurt by men in the past when I tried for “being normal,” (and even before that being hurt by male family members, physically and emotionally).

The comments are a mishmash of people fighting about women being culpable in their own loneliness and that other women are the enemy and men are fine, actually. Somebody even said all single women are narcissists, and that’s why they’re single. But most women agreed that yeah, focusing on themselves has made things better, and not having a man has given them some peace. I don’t have a horse in this particular race, but I hope people can find contentment, however that looks. I guess the eternal lesson is, as always, stay out of the comments.

But anyways, here are Obes and Banana. Just being eepy little guys. They’ll be five at the end of the month. Full jedi masters!

How should we celebrate?

if anyone’s wondering why the art has been so inconsistent on a lot of x-men books in the FTA era, this is why. marvel completely fucks over artists and creators because it’s a shitty ass company.

Union when?

Every time I watch Farscape, I think about Leslie Crichton. She died four years before the pilot, and she only appears in two episodes and she’s only mentioned a couple of times beyond that.

I first saw Won’t Get Fooled Again when I was like 15 or 16, and even then, I was fascinated with that character and relationship.

We know she died of cancer and that John was not present for her death and likely regrets that. We know her life was not easy, raising three kids and married to a famous astronaut who wasn’t always around. We know she grasped onto things like tarot for guidance long before it was popular the way it is now, and certainly was not popular in a house full of scientists.

I think she really loved her family. Even when it was hard. Even when they didn’t understand each other or communicate in helpful ways. She really tried hard to be a good mom.

I love Leslie.
