Background: In this study we tested the hypothesis that positive body experiences would offer some protection from symptoms of orthorexia nervosa (ONs). Methods: A community sample of 561 adult volunteers aged 19-72 was recruited via social media networks. Participants self-reported on measures of ONs [DOS], compulsive exercise [CET], positive body experiences [DKB-35] including body acceptance, body narcissism, vitality, sexual satisfaction and physical contact, and disordered eating [EDE-Q-13]. Results: 2.2% [95%CI 1.1-3.7%] of the participants scored above the clinical cut-off point for ON. All positive body experiences except physical contact were significantly and negatively correlated with all disordered eating subscales. ONs correlated negatively with body acceptance and sexual satisfaction, and compulsive exercise correlated negatively with vitality, and positively with body narcissism. Body acceptance and sexual satisfaction were lowest for the group who scored above the clinical cutoff for orthorexia nervosa. In a linear regression analysis, positive body experiences contributed 14% to the explained variance, over and beyond the negative contribution of education. Body acceptance down-moderated the association between compulsive exercise and ONs. Conclusions: Positive body experiences, in particular body acceptance and sexual satisfaction may be protective of ONs. Further research is needed to identify factors that offer protection from ONs and can therefore be targeted in treatment and prevention programs.

The present work examines wine production facilities of farmhouses of the Roman and Late Roman period in the Roman province of Achaia, as they were formed by the consolidation of Roman rule in southern Greece, from 146 BC until the Late Roman period, as well as the transition from older production units of the Late Hellenistic period in this area. Specifically, the focus is on archaeological remains of wine production facilities of Roman farmhouses in southern Greece, as well as on testimonies of ancient texts that provide information about the way of wine production in Roman antiquity. The typology of wine making installations and other facilities related to the wine production process is also examined. Furthermore, the location of the wine production facilities, the method, and the technology of construction of these facilities, the production process, and the organization of the production within Roman farmhouses are also examined.

Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) is a critical component of perinatal care, necessitating a nuanced understanding of midwives' knowledge and skills in its application. This study introduces a comprehensive examination of midwives' proficiency in EFM, addressing a gap in current literature. The novelty lies in its multi-faceted approach, encompassing theoretical understanding, practical skills, and contextual challenges. The aim is to identify strengths, areas for improvement, and effective interventions to enhance midwives' competence. Methodologically, a series of studies spanning from 1993 to 2023 employ cross-sectional analyses, simulation-based evaluations, longitudinal assessments, qualitative exploration, and a comparative analysis of educational interventions. Preliminary findings underscore variations in midwives' theoretical knowledge, the importance of simulation-based training, ongoing skill progression, and contextual challenges. The conclusion emphasizes the need for tailored educational interventions, addressing contextual challenges, and fostering a collaborative approach.
