The basic objective of this paper is to understand the key compensation and benefits trends across sectors in the Indian private market along with the fluctuations in the projected scenario and that of the actual environment. There is no to less number of studies which explains the trends of the compensation policy that is been prevailing in different industries and at different levels of the management which is acting as a gap which can be bridged through this study as it fills the gap of unawareness prevailing among the minds of the employees and the students. This study suggests that for the purpose of retaining the existing employees of the companies and to attract outlying talented people, the managers are increasing the level of annual increment rate and the annual variable pay rate. The insurance policy that is been provided by the employer during the years is showing that the companies are now focusing on the retention of the existing employees and also these things will attract the new talents into the company. The study is been conducted for analyzing the trends in Indian industries, but the results, in overall, can be implemented in any part of world because of the level of universal attribute of the results. This study is completely based upon the secondary sources of data such as the reports, newspapers, journals, websites, magazines, etc. In totality, 35 sources of data are evaluated for cumulating and analysis of the data. The results of the study are useful for the managers because it will help them in understanding the predominant pay drifts that are trailed by their current industry and other enterprises. Also, the management students will get the direction to choose their respective industry to enter for better exposure and compensation.

This study aims to explore the contribution of psychological contract and psychological empowerment towards employee engagement with in Indian IT sector. Research hypotheses were evaluated using multiple regression analysis. Findings indicated that both the variables i.e. psychological contract and psychological empowerment are crucial drivers for employee engagement in IT sector with employees feeling more connected with the organization when drawing a positive psychological contract from it and believed to be empowered from it and its members. In the end, managerial implications for fostering psychological contract and psychological empowerment are provided and suitable avenues for future research are suggested.

Trends, die diese Altersgruppe maßgeblich bestimmen, begründet.

In the present global business environment, organizations need different approaches for overcoming the current demands and future challenges for which a creative workplace is a prerequisite. To understand workplace creativity in depth, we need to examine the interactions between personal and
contextual characteristics as well as interactions among the contextual characteristics in an organization. Although researchers have attempted to understand the interactions between personal and contextual characteristics, enough attention has not been paid to the interactions among the contextual variables of employee creativity. In the present study, an attempt has been made to examine the interacting
role of task complexity with work autonomy in contribution towards workplace creativity. The study has been carried out upon 304 information technology (IT) professionals working in different IT companies located in the Kochi and Trivandrum region of the state of Kerala. Findings reveal that the three dimensions of work autonomy, namely, work method autonomy, work schedule autonomy and work criteria autonomy have a direct positive contribution towards workplace creativity. Direct positive contribution towards workplace creativity is also exhibited by task complexity. As far as the moderating effect is concerned, task complexity is found to moderate significantly the relationships of work criteria as well as work schedule dimension of work autonomy with workplace creativity.

The information technology sector plays a pivotal role in the development and growth of any country. It has become the foremost communication channel between people over the globe. The inducement of infrastructural advancements such as China Pakistan Corridor (CPAK) and other agreements has made IT role more significant in the development of Pakistani economy. Employee engagement is a crucial element in the performance of an organization. It also directly correlates with job satisfaction. The proposed research is aimed to find out the determinants of employee engagement such as work environment, self-evaluation, organizational treatment and work engagement and their impact on job satisfaction in the information technology sector of Pakistan.

In the evaluation of capital investments, the Monte Carlo stochastic method enables combining the potential values of numerous key factors which could be in the complex and interconnected relation and therefore give the insight of possible future investment project outcomes. By the earlier studies, it was found that despite its usefulness it is still not widely used in practice, especially in evaluating possible outcomes of economic forecasts. This is a surprising fact, considering the effects of the recent economic crisis, among other, on the results of implemented investment projects, business performance, industrial sectors and overall economy.
The objective of this paper is to analyze whether there is a significant number of examples and research of its application in the evaluation of projections of individual industry sectors future development with an emphasis on the IT sector. The author conducted an analysis of available literature and surveys on this topic. The work is structured from two separate parts – first analysis of literature working on definition and correlation of risk, uncertainty and the Monte Carlo simulation in business decision-making and the second the analysis of literature dealing with its applicability in practice. It was found that the Monte Carlo method is considered as a method that provides specific and relevant information in the process of decision-making regarding the project implementation, but considering its specificity and in combination with other methods of assessing project investment. At the other hand, it is rarely used in the analysis of the economic forecast of specific industrial sectors.

Employee engagement has emerged as the main deriver for organizational success. This paper
attempts to measure the level of employee engagement in Information Technology sector in Nagpur
City. A total of 41 employees of a company were taken as the sample for this study (20 males, 21
females). The paper investigates the level of difference in engagement of male and female employees
along the parameters of vigor, dedication and absorption with respect to their jobs. The result of the
study showed that there is a significant difference along the dimensions of vigor, dedication and
absorption between the male and female employees in the IT sector and the females are generally
more engaged than the males.

Emotional intelligence is the ability of an individual to use emotions properly for positive results. This has an impact on many aspects of our personal and professional life. Emotional intelligent theory tells that highly emotionally intelligent individuals are likely to experience a very good life. The paper aims to know about the level of emotional intelligence among IT sector employees. The sample of 200 respondents from the IT sector from Bangalore city was considered for this study and their emotional intelligence level was assessed using appropriate tools. From the analysis it is found that program analyst have high level of emotional intelligence. The results of the study are discussed within the context of the limitations of the current study and findings from the previous study.

In the present age with the increasing pressure of competition mainly because of globalization, the IT industry has compelled to restructure their financial policies to tackle difficulties and ensuring their survival and growth. In this context efficiency in which IT companies managing their assets plays an important role. In fact, efficiency in managing assets have a significant influence on earning capability of the sector. Over this background, the present work evaluates the relationship between profitability and assets management of ten select IT firms during the period from 2008-09 to 2017-18. The study has used appropriate statistical measures.

The Information technology sector (IT) is one of the most important economic sectors by its contribution to the operational efficiency of all other industries and consequently to the overall economy. There is no other business activity that equally affects the development of all spheres of society, business sector and public administration. As well, this sector was one of the few in the course of the last economic crisis, which did not have a strong decline of the business revenues and employment. However, despite the above, the publications on the Croatia IT sector emphasized the existing obstacles to the continuation of its progressive development. Some of those are the nonstimulating business environment, the inflexibility of the education system (resulting in the inadequate supply of skilled labour), the low level of available financial supports utilization, the absence of double taxation agreements with some of the largest world markets etc.
The aim of this paper is to determine the impacts of the existing business environment on the regional IT sector performance, measured by selected financial indicators. Therefore, this paper presents the review of relevant literature and the results of the financial analysis of the largest IT companies of Eastern Croatia (that includes 62 and 63 codes of NACE classification) for the period 2012 to 2016. In accordance with stated above, the research comprises financial and statistical analysis of selected financial indicators including variations of business revenues, EBIT, EBITDA, NPM, CapEx, NIPE, RoA, total assets horizontal analysis, etc. The research gave the insight of the development trends of the regional IT sector and insight into possible development obstacles, which can in the future be the basis for designing the recommendations for policymakers.

Generalni su ciljevi programa financiranja projekata u gospodarstvu iz nacionalnih i fondova Europske unije poticanje poduzetništva, konkurentnosti, zapošljavanja u svrhu smanjenja regionalnih neujednačenosti unutar država i na razini zemalja članica Europske unije. Pritom je potrebno posebno poticati gospodarske grane koje ostvaruju višu dodanu vrijednost i koje pozitivno utječu na razvoj ostalih industrijskih grana. Informacijske tehnologije (IT) mogu se izdvojiti kao jedna od industrija koja direktno utječe na razvoj i konkurentnost ostalih sektora, pri čemu je poticanje investicija u toj industriji od primarne važnosti za razvoj konkurentnosti gospodarstva u cjelini. Cilj je ovog rada analizirati adekvatnost odabranih programa poticanja ulaganja putem bespovratnih potpora koji su na raspolaganju IT-sektoru sa svrhom utvrđivanja efikasnosti tih programa u provedbi investicija predmetnog sektora, posebice na području istočne Hrvatske u kojem je zabilježen njegov ubrzan razvoj. U tu je svrhu provedena analiza strukture financiranja investicija hrvatskog sektora informacija i komunikacija (ICT) u razdoblju 2011.–2015., koja je ukazala na iznimno nisku razinu financiranja kapitalnih ulaganja iz dostupnih programa financiranja investicija bespovratnim sredstvima. Sa svrhom utvrđivanja stanja na regionalnoj razini provedena je i analizirana struktura ulaganja i financiranja IT-sektora u regiji istočne Hrvatske u razdoblju 2012.–2016., kojom je identificiran pozitivan trend investicija u dugotrajnu materijalnu imovinu, posebice opremu, a financiran u najznačajnijem dijelu vlastitim sredstvima investitora. Navedeno ukazuje na neadekvatnost modela poticanja investicija u IT-sektoru s potrebom provedbe njihovih strukturnih promjena.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between financial performance and internal governance structure of Information Technology (IT) sector in India. Various aspects of the board such as board independence, board size, board meeting, board attendance, aspects of leadership with role duality and family ownership are addressed in this study. Design/methodology/approach – The sample consists of 114 listed IT sector firms in India from 2006 to 2011. To account for endogeneity of the relationship between firm performance, corporate governance and capital structure of the firm, simultaneous system of equations was employed. Findings – The study, after controlling for firm-specific factors, shows that larger board size had a positive impact on firm performance. The Indian economy has grown by more than 8 percent per year since 2003-04. This achievement has triggered a debate around the question: Is the fast economic growth of India based on a sound foundation that will ensure its sustainability in the future? This paper reviews varied arguments within this debate and concludes that scepticism seems to outweigh optimistic perspectives. This perception emerges because the Indian labour force is growing at 2 percent per year which is even faster than that of China. A majority of this labour force will be absorbed in agriculture and informal sector which have low productivity. The services sector is booming, but it cannot absorb major proportion of the growing low- and unskilled labour force. India needs to take benefit of its advancement in the IT sector to increase productivity of its agriculture and informal sector for maintaining the fast growth of economy.

Teknolojideki ilerlemelerle birlikte rekabetin yüksek olduğu bilişim sektöründe, şirketler yoğun rekabete bir çözüm olarak markalaşmaya yönelmektedir. İnternet kullanımının oldukça yaygınlaştığı günümüz iş dünyasında, sürdürülebilir bir marka stratejisinin önemli araçlarından birisi de sosyal medyada marka hayran sayfaları ve takipçileri oluşturmaktır. Markaların hayran sayfalarında etkili bir içerik stratejisi oluşturmak, hedef kitle ile ilişkilerin kurulmasına ve geliştirilmesine katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışma, sosyal medyada kullanılan içerik stratejisinin, marka gönderi popülerliği açısından rolünü Türkiye'deki bilişim firmaları çerçevesinde incelemeye odaklanmıştır. Örneklem çerçevesi olarak Türkiye’de donanım, hizmet ve yazılım alanında faaliyet gösteren bilişim şirketleri belirlenerek bu şir-ketlerin sosyal medya (Facebook ve Twitter) paylaşımları incelenmiştir. Çalışmada içerik stratejileri; içerik türü, içerik çevikliği, içerik bağlamı, gönderi türü ve gönderi günü kapsamında ele alınmıştır. Marka gönderi popülaritesini belirleyen unsurlar ise beğenme, yorum, paylaşım ve emoji reaksiyonları sayısı olarak değerlendirilmiştir.
