SOMNILOQUY AND DAYDREAMING IN CLASSICAL SANSKRIT DRAMA
In this article, we continue our research into the phenomenon of speech errors in classical Sanskrit drama. Communication mishaps such as a slip-of-the-tongue, mishearing, and utterances that are out of place, etc., play an important role in the structure of Indian drama, serving both as an expressive means and as a dominant narrative device. Establishing the latter fact allows us to understand better the specifics of Sanskrit drama, which among other things, consists of the following: that rather atypical phenomena, such as the errors that we analyze, are endowed with the status of an “event” in Sanskrit drama. That being the case, we see the main purpose of this paper in proving that the somniloquy motif as well as the daydreaming motif (which is closely related to it) can be put on a par with the above-mentioned types of speech errors. Both motifs have a well-established form and are reproduced in many plays. What is said (or even done) in a dream might affect dramatically the further development of the plot. Simultaneously, somniloquy may be aimed at creating a comic effect. The same is true regarding the daydreaming motif. It is important to note that the latter lies behind the fatal curse in the famous drama of Kalidasa, which fell upon Shakuntala, when she lapsed into a state of daydreaming. In addition, we draw on material from Prakrit and Sanskrit lyrics, as well as ancient Indian narrative prose, in order to outline ways of finding the origins of this poetic phenomenon.

RESUMO
Apresentam-se aqui documentos do espólio de Fernando Pessoa e da sua biblioteca particular referentes a padrões antropológicos, espirituais e estéticos das tradições asiáticas. Alguns deles integraram um dossiê publicado pela primeira vez na revista Cultura Entre Culturas. O contributo resgatado, precedido por um conjunto de novos testemunhos, alguns inéditos, permite traçar uma cartografia mais completa de nomes e obras de poetas, filósofos e mestres espirituais, descobertos por Pessoa em virtude do seu fervoroso "vício" pela leitura.
ABSTRACT
This selection of documents from Pessoa's archive and private library deals with anthropological, spiritual and aesthetic issues from the Asiatic traditions. Some of these documents first appeared in the journal Cultura Entre Culturas. Accompanied by a set of new documents, both published and unpublished, this selection offers a more complete array of works by poets, philosophers and spiritual masters that Pessoa discovered throughout a life deeply devoted to the art of reading.

RESUMO
Apresentam-se aqui documentos do espólio de Fernando Pessoa e da sua biblioteca particular referentes a padrões antropológicos, espirituais e estéticos das tradições asiáticas. Alguns deles integraram um dossiê publicado pela primeira vez na revista Cultura Entre Culturas. O contributo resgatado, precedido por um conjunto de novos testemunhos, alguns inéditos, permite traçar uma cartografia mais completa de nomes e obras de poetas, filósofos e mestres espirituais, descobertos por Pessoa em virtude do seu fervoroso "vício" pela leitura.
