Finally, syntactic and semantic data integration issues with multiple web services are discussed.

Moreover after applying SOA on ERP systems there are some issues are raised like performance and modifications issues. This paper will discuss how we can make use of design patterns to handle the performance and requirements change after applying SOA on ERP systems.

Counterfeit production is a threat for every genuine business causing damage to their brand image and stealing their revenues. The aim of this paper is topresenta novel method to prevent counterfeit products using cryptography, QR code and webservice. The method requires that every original product manufacturer obtain a cryptographic key pair, securely store their private key and publish their public key on their website as a QR code. The product manufacturer needs to print a unique item code on their product packs and provide inside the pack a QR code encoding the ciphertext generated by encrypting the item code with their private key. For product verification by buyers, the manufacture is required to provide a QR code scanning app for download on their website, Google Play Store or iPhone App Store. The scanning app should have additional cryptographic functionality to decrypt ciphertext of the item code encoded in the QR code. The manufacturer also needs to launch a simple webservice on his hosting server to accept requests from the mobile app and verify the item code and buyer's name in its database. Technicalimplementation and the verification process are described in detail through figures and flowchart. The method can be implemented even by small manufacturers with nominal cost by obtaining a key pair and creating a scanning app and webservices. We have also tested the method with an actual software code written for cryptographic operations using the Java Cryptography Extension and QR code operations using Google Zxing libraries.

The copious embracing of web services raises the intriguing problem in web service discovery. Web service discovery is the process of finding appropriate services for the user defined tasks. The Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is more efficient if it supports the event processing. Therefore, in this paper we integrate the SOA with the Event Driven Architecture (EDA) in web service discovery. The interaction between events and services is commonly referred as Event Driven Service Oriented Architecture (EDSOA). It is very desiderate in web service discovery to solve the problem of how we can match the user request with the web service advertisements, accurately and efficiently either manually or automatically from the UDDI. The Event Matchmaking Technique (EMT) has been proposed to enhance the accuracy and efficiency in matchmaking process. The proposed EMT is applied to a sample test and performance analyses are presented demonstrating the effectiveness of the idea. We have also dedicated towards the analysis of proposed system with the existing system.

In this demonstration-paper we present Mr. DLib, a machine-readable digital library. Mr. DLib provides access to several millions of articles in full-text and their metadata in XML and JSON format via a RESTful Web Service. In addition, Mr. DLib provides related documents for given academic articles. The service is intended to serve researchers who need bibliographic data and full-text of scholarly literature for their analyses (e.g. impact and trend analysis); providers of academic services who need additional information to enhance their own services (e.g. literature recommendations); and providers who want to build their own services based on data from Mr. DLib.

This paper proposes an architectural framework that able to take into account, in an asynchronous fashion. Service Oriented Architectures (SOAs) supports request reply pattern, it not suits for the stop-start (asynchronous) communication. Therefore, in this paper we integrate the SOA with the Event Driven Architecture (EDA) in web service discovery. The critical problem of service discovery in application-oriented web service technologies is how to match the user request with the web service advertisement, efficiently and accurately as per the user requirements. To meliorate the accuracy and efficiency in WS-discovery, the Proficient Matchmaking Technique (PMT) has been proposed in EDSOA. The performance evaluation shows that performance of the proposed technique is aloft than the existing technique.

Cloud computing is a model which can be used in any domain expanding from large scale enterprise to start ups to educational institutions. In the traditional way of building a site, people go for external/shared web hosting, these have few issues. In this paper We will demonstrate a site on cloud and achieve high availability and low latency through load balancing on cloud servers. We used cloud computing for hosting the site and maintain the web traffic on our website. We are self hosting the site on a server which is on cloud. The actual role of cloud in our research is to make sure our website is available and always maintains low latency regardless of web traffic. To achieve this we will have a load balancer again on cloud which takes the traffic into account and Scales the servers to manage the load which is nothing but scalability. This was not possible in traditional web hosting and servers. The end product of my research is a highly available, scalable, complete college network site with approximately no investment.

Performance degradation due to imperfect isola-
tion of hardware resources such as cache, network, and I/O has
been a frequent occurrence in public cloud platforms. A web
server that is suffering from performance interference degrades interactive user experience and results in lost revenues. Existing work on interference mitigation tries to address this problem by intrusive changes to the hypervisor, e.g., using intelligent schedulers or live migration, many of which are available only to infrastructure providers and not end consumers. In this paper, we present a framework for administering webserver clusters where effects of interference can be reduced by intelligent reconfiguration. Our controller, ICE, improves webserver performance during interference by performing two-fold autonomous reconfigurations. First, it reconfigures the load balancer at the ingress point of the server cluster and thus reduces load on the impacted server. ICE then reconfigures the middleware at the impacted server to reduce its load even further. We implement and evaluate ICE on CloudSuite, a popular web application benchmark, and with two popular load balancers - HAProxy and LVS. Our experiments in a private cloud testbed show that ICE can improve median response time of web servers by upto 94% compared to a statically configured server cluster. ICE also outperforms an adaptive load balancer (using least connection scheduling) by upto 39%.

We are achieving simple Linked Data facilities by recording the PND ("Personennamendatei", a German authority le) with every prosopography where possible (→ TEI Markup). Currently, almost 50 % of our person records are linked with an appropriate PND-ID.

The nitty-gritty challenge for the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) developers is to find the appropriate services for the user defined tasks. This process is referred to as "web service discovery". The process of web service discovery is referred to as service matchmaking, takes a query specifying inputs and outputs of the desired service as well as a service registry consisting of web service advertisements and returns as output a list of matched services for the user requirements. It is very desiderate to solve the problem in mobile environment of how we can match the user request with the web service advertisements registered in UDDI, accurately and efficiently in discovery process. This problem can be addressed by context aware SOA based discovery by bi-matchmaking technique. The proposed context aware based discovery in SOA based system by bi-matchmaking technique is applied to a sample test and performance analyses are presented demonstrating the effectiveness of the search.

Web Services security is a major concern in the web engineering domain. Several approaches emphasizing Secure Web Services Design (SWSD) process have been proposed. However, they provide a little guidance as to what developers should do exactly to conduct this highly intellectual process. SWSD practices cannot be defined independently of the situation in which they are applied. To address this challenge, we propose an approach for guiding the construction and execution of situational SWSD methods by reengineering and integrating different existing SWSD method components suited to the specific situation on hand.

Protein structure homology modelling has become a routine technique to generate 3D models for proteins when experimental structures are not available. Fully automated servers such as SWISS-MODEL with user-friendly web interfaces generate reliable models without the need for complex software packages or downloading large databases. Here, we describe the latest version of the SWISS-MODEL expert system for protein structure modelling. The SWISS-MODEL template library provides annotation of quaternary structure and essential ligands and co-factors to allow for building of complete structural models, including their oligomeric structure. The improved SWISS-MODEL pipeline makes extensive use of model quality estimation for selection of the most suitable templates and provides estimates of the expected accuracy of the resulting models. The accuracy of the models generated by SWISS-MODEL is continuously evaluated by the CAMEO system. The new web site allows users to interactively search for templates, cluster them by sequence similarity, structurally compare alternative templates and select the ones to be used for model building. In cases where multiple alternative template structures are available for a protein of interest, a user-guided template selection step allows building models in different functional states. Smart proxies are objects often used to adapt and customize distributed object-oriented systems in a non-invasive way. For example, smart proxies are common used to provide support to quality of service attributes. In this paper, we investigate the use of smart proxies in order to provide replication transparency in middleware systems that support the implementation of Web services. The system presented in the paper, called SmartWS, supports the prime replicated server selection policies proposed in the literature. The paper also provides guidelines that help Web service users to choose the policy more suitable to a given application. A new server selection policy that combines several advantages of the already proposed policies is also described. The paper also presents results obtained from experiments performed with a prototype implementation of SmartWS. Such results reinforce the policy selection guidelines presented in the paper.
