I'd like to know what the policy is so that if I contribute in the future I don't waste time writing code that will get automatically rejected or need a significant re-write. I'm pretty sure Vlad could have saved a lot of time if there was explicit policy or direction from maintainers. If the project wants good contributors it needs a good maintainer - check out mysql++ for how it should be done.
