What to Know

Critics Consensus

A riff on Greek myth that is equal parts clever and overstuffed, Kaos falls just short of godly but still lands as a bolt of good fun.

Hannah Giorgis The Atlantic A darkly funny, visually rich saga that highlights the enduring relevance of these moral quandaries and character studies -- without taking itself too seriously. Sep 9, 2024 Full Review Mark Kermode Kermode and Mayo's Take (YouTube) There is much to enjoy, not least Jeff Goldblum... he's being the most Jeff Goldblum he's been in quite a long time. Sep 9, 2024 Full Review Tariq Ra'ouf Empire Magazine With its modern twists and a broad cast of colourful characters — led by an imperious Jeff Goldblum — KAOS is chaotically good fun. Rated: 4/5 Sep 5, 2024 Full Review Martin Carr martincarr.co.uk For audiences who are happy to brush up on their mythology, and open themselves up to the possibility of a series that is slavishly faithful to the text – then Kaos might just work. For anyone else going in blind, might we suggest a little light reading. Oct 9, 2024 Full Review Burt Peterson SciFiNow Kaos is a celebration of diversity in storytelling, with inclusive casting and a sharply insightful script. Rated: 4/5 Oct 7, 2024 Full Review Ilan Preskovsky Channel24 (South Africa) After a very solid first episode, the series does drag over the next few episodes, but it really picks up in its second half, all culminating in a genuinely excellent season finale that is all but guaranteed to leave you begging for more Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 6, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Krista H I was a little apprehensive going into watching this bc I wasn’t sure I was going to like it but it only took 10 minutes for me to be hooked instantly. I binge watched the hell out of it. I really enjoyed watching it. It was funny, witty, deranged & everything I crave for in a great show. Sadly it was cancelled which is insane since Netflix left us with such an insanely unfair cliffhanger. I hope another network picks it up and gives us a season 2!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/07/24 Full Review Audience Member This is yet another show that is basically just a social drama about personal problems and emotions, that has a setting that could be much more, but isn't. I hoped it was going to actually be about gods and humans and be a tongue-in-cheek show where the two have a go at eachother where it gets increasingly nutty but nah. More boring emo schlock. I swear, this is 80% of series these days. Cool concept, boring, pointless plot. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/05/24 Full Review Audience Member IM REALLY REALLY REALLY UPSET THIS WAS CANCELLED. SOMETIMES I REALLY REALLY HATE NETFLIX. THERE IS SO MUCH CRAP BUT SOMETHING INTELLIGENT AND ARTFULL GETS CANCELLED. ON A CLIFFHANGER NO LESS. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/04/24 Full Review Rama B Please Netflix, give us a new season!!! This is the best tv show I watched in years! We need to see what's next for Zeus. Please give this show a chance! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review Gareth v This contemporary, and off-beat take on Greek mythology is superbly written, and led by it's excellent cast (particularly Goldblum as Zeus) is one of the best shows of 2024. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review Katie D The first episode or two were a little slow, but the plot really ramps up after that. Excellent cast, acting, storytelling, setting... I can't believe Netflix cancelled it! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/01/24 Full Review Read all reviews
