Stage 3-Learning Plan

Day 1: Using netbooks in the classroom, students will work in small groups
to research information about the solar system. The students will search
for information through My Big Campus and also from the resources that
are listed below:

Day 2: Students will go to the media center to find more resources about
the solar system. Resources should include at least 2 grade level books
about the solar system. Students will create Glogster accounts. Students
will begin working on creating their Glogster about the solar system by
choosing which board they will use.
Day 3: At this point students should start putting information onto their
Glogster. This day will be specifically for getting their Glogster organized
with their information.
Day 4: Kahoot will be played as a review of what students have learned
about the solar system. Students should be putting the finishing touches
on their Glogsters.
Day 5: Students will present their Glogsters to the class, teacher and
media specialist.
Day 6: Think Gate assessment over the solar system will be given to all

students via the netbooks. Lan School will be used to send the assessment
to the netbooks.
Day 7: Students will participate in a Solar System Scavenger Hunt. This
will be the final assessment for the Solar System Unit.
