Course objectives:
1. Apply personal teaching philosophy and principles of good teaching
2. Design and implement teaching-learning activities in classroom, virtual, on-line, lab, and
simulation settings.
3. Implement active-learning strategies in a variety of teaching/learning settings.
4. Apply strategies to evaluate personal teaching effectiveness.
5. Analyze the educator role in a variety of settings.
6. Develop a personal plan to support transition into the educator role and ongoing personal
development as an educator
Personal objectives: (no more than five)
1. Develop teaching strategies that actively engage students across the cognitive, affective,
and psychomotor domains.
2. Construct educational opportunities for students to merge didactic and clinical
knowledge.
3. Evaluate implemented strategies within the didactic and clinical settings for student
learning assimilation.
4. Design evidence-based assessment tools to facilitate the evaluation of learning.
5. Analyze the role of the educator in curriculum development.

to only count them once.)
