    Dear Parents:

    Hope you had a wonderful weekend!


    This week the kids had a great time
    during our field trip to flex family! They
    experienced many different activities,
    from gymnastics to dance, dodge ball,
    racing carts and an enormous play gym!
    they had a wonderful day and lots of
    lovely memories to keep and remember!

    Math Inquiry:

    We will be introducing subtraction


    through different games and activities.
    We will also continue practicing counting
    till 100 and reviewing patterns through
    daily activities like calendar time.

    Important dates:

    Sunday May 10-13: KG1 art gallery in the


    main gate reception area.
    Wednesday May 20th :
    Student-led conferences 5:30-8:30.
    Monday May 25th : Water table day
    Thursday May 28th : Dress-down day.
    Monday June 1st : Students last day

    Literacy Inquiry:

    This week we will be focusing on


    letter Zz. We will be creating a zoo craft
    , a zipper crown, working on our journals for
    letter Z and we will continue reviewing all
    the sight words we have learned this year.
    We will also start reading leveled books to
    practice reading easy books independently.

    Unit of Inquiry:
    Central idea:
    Expression of ideas and feelings can be
    demonstrated creatively through the arts.
    This week we will be focusing on expressing
    ourselves through drawing , painting and
    coloring. We will discuss the work of great
    Artists like Vincent Van Gogh
    And different techniques of
    Painting like Pointillism.

    Home Connection:

    You can discuss with your child


    Different kinds of art, point out
    Any painting you see and ask them
    What they like about it. Lets
    have fun learning!
