Marvellous Maths

Mrs E Burgess

This week, your child should receive paper

homework. This homework will be linked to
their learning for this half term and is an
opportunity for children to apply skills and
knowledge to a new context.

We have launched, learned and loved it so far!
Years 36 have been receiving online maths

seeing great improvements in the childrens
enthusiasm towards maths homework.
Well done to 5S who have earned the
highest number of points this half term.

Paper Homework

As with all maths homework, it is optional,

though we do hope your child has an
opportunity
to
complete
it
before
Thursday 14th April.
Rewarding hard work
As you may be aware, children are able to earn
points on Mathletics for correct answers.

If children receive 1000 points or more in a

week they will receive a Bronze Certificate
online.
Once they have received 4 Bronze Certicates,
the next 1000 points will earn them a
Silver Certificate which will be presented in
class.
Once the children have earned 1000 or more
points for 20 Weeks they will be awarded a
Gold Certificate in assembly.
Top Scoring classes and pupils will also be
awarded certificates monthly.
Now its your turn!
Next half term, I will be launching a
competition for you! Parents will be challenged
to create a video blog about the maths they
do in a normal working day. More details to
follow, get your thinking caps on!

I look forward to sharing more of our successes with you soon!
