M.Tech in VLSI Design & Embedded Systems

VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) in collaboration with UTL Technologies has set up their extension center in the year 2003 at UTL Campus in Yeshwanthpur to conduct M.Tech in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems in Full time and Part time mode for Graduates and Working Professionals. UTL with its vision of producing industry ready manpower perfectly understands the importance of imparting the conceptual knowledge and also the need for relating it to the current technology trends. With the support from UTL Group Companies, UTL Technologies offers opportunity for its students to work on Industry projects, thus enabling them to take up the challenges in Industry. For building Industry ready resources, faculty play a vital role, we chose our faculty with rich industrial, research and academic background. The current faculty team comprises of two PhD's and seven master degree holders with industrial research experience. Technical staff from UTL R & D centre does involve in. Guest lectures and project guidance to students Since its inception in 2003, UTL Technologies has successfully completed 5 Full time and Part time batches. Publications
The active research participation by students and faculty has led to publication of 55 technical papers in various International / National Journals and Conference papers including IEEE for the academic year of 2010-2011. The faculties along with the students in the department are actively involved in Research and Development in the area's of VLSI Design, Embedded Systems and Communication System design.

Industry Linkage
UTL works closely with many semiconductor companies for Industry consultation, R & D Projects student's placements and internships. Currently we are consulting two industry projects in the area of Analog design and Cryptography. Our present students are doing their academic projects at NAL, Smart play, IISC, Eagle Photonics, ECIL, BEL, LSI, Intel, UTL Group etc.
