Volunteer to distribute Bibles and gift books at the Volunteers of America Homeless Shelter on Saturday, December 21, from 4:30pm-6:30pm & Sunday, December 22, from 7:30am-9:30am. A little music would be nice for the December 21 service date. If you are willing to give the gift of live music please call Impact Coordinator, Linda Cabose, at (517) 321-2019. NOTE: The first service date for December is at The City Rescue Mission Family Center on December 14. If you are unable to serve dinner, but can donate a package of store bought holiday decorated cookies, please write your name and "cookies only" on the volunteer sign up sheet. LITTLE LAMB OFFERING: Would your child like an opportunity to participate in collecting the Little Lamb Offering on Sabbath? HOLIDAY FOOD BASKETS The Lansing Pathfinder Club will be passing out food baskets to needy families this year for Thanksgiving. According to Christian Services, a Thanksgiving meal for a family of four costs approximately $60. Would you like to help feed a needy family this year? If so, please make a donation using your tithe envelope, marking it Holiday Food Baskets. Thank you for support! Sounds of Christmas - a Musical Celebration of Jesus with Scott Michael Bennett and Friends. Saturday, December 14th at 5pm. Join us for an evening of festive music and inspirational singing from award-winning musicians as we remember the reason for the season! Be sure to invite family and friends! Followed by annual open house at the home of Mac & Bev McDonald. THE GREATER LANSING ADVENTIST SCHOOL will be sharing their annual Christmas Program, Friday evening, December 13. The program begins at 6:00 PM in the church sanctuary. "My Friend, The King of the Universe" will include stories from the life of Jesus, music by the voice and bell choirs. All are invited to this special event. HAVE YOU EVER ASKED THE QUESTION, "Why do bad things happen to good people?" Or, "If there is a God, why is there so much suffering in the world?" The Lansing SDA Adventist Youth Ministries group will present a play titled "Unnatural Disasters," written by Rachel Cabose, at 5:00pm on Sabbath, November 30, at the Lansing SDA Church. This modern-day adaptation of the biblical story of Job addresses these questions and explores what it means to have unshakable faith amid tragedy. Please join us as the youth share their message in drama. Bring your family & friends!
