Introduction
Automation Concepts is a multidisciplinary Company based in Randburg,
South Africa.
We provide a one-stop service to the customer, especially for fast track project
implementation. Key aspects are conceptual design, engineering, procurement, and
construction management, commissioning, operating and post-commissioning care.

Supply, Construction, Installation & Commissioning:

Since 1991 Automation Concepts general scope of work has covered
various issues such as the supply of construction materials and main
electrical equipment. Installation of electrical, instrumentation and automation
equipment. Testing of supplied and free issued equipment as well as system
commissioning.

Company Structure:
The Company structure that has evolved into its present day shape has been
an on going process from the day of inception and has given all the
employees the feeling of growth and strength.
The company management structure operates as an integrated team sharing
responsibility and workload. This has proved to be a working solution allowing
Management to back up each other resulting in Client confidence and peace
of mind.
The Company is structured to operate efficiently by being able to expand on
its formed structure to accommodate project workloads. Using experienced,
well known and reliable contract labour when required, supports this.
The company has been fortunate with the make up of its Management team in
that all key personnel are multi-disciplined and skilled in various aspects of
project work, such as, engineering, design, construction and commissioning.
This has been of huge advantage to our company to have such experienced,
multi-disciplinary, hands on individuals on the Management team.
This allows us to give our clients the performance they demand of us.

Construction Division:
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
This division was set up to ensure that this organization offers total engineering solutions.
The services provided are:

Budget and detailed estimation

Contract administration
Procurement
Construction Management
Construction
Commissioning

Automation Concepts construction division is well equipped with

construction equipment and tools. This has been built up over the many years
of site construction.
Site Facilities
The main equipment such as site facilities, namely site offices, workshops,
and ablution, are owned by the company, however if further facilities are
required it is common practice for the company to extend the facilities with the
hiring of the required equipment.
Tools
The Company owns almost all specialized tools. Should any more be required
for specific applications, these are normally hired or bought out.
Company Vehicles
The company owns all vehicles used by the company, however from time to
time the company makes use of specialised transport companies to transport
large equipment such as HV switchgear, MCCs, transformers etc. The
company vehicle breakdown is as follows:
Company cars are allocated to each member of management, (7
vehicles)
Site foremen are issued with company trucks to transport himself and
his team. More than 1 vehicle per project may be allocated.
(8 vehicles)
The Procurement and Stores departments-used for the collection and
delivery of materials. (3 vehicles).

Company Finance:
Automation Concepts is a sound and financially solid company with an
excellent track record with all suppliers and bankers. If information is required
such as a list of our creditors / suppliers with their details and our banking
details, this can be made available. However please be advised that this
information is very confidential, and will only be made available to the highest
level. This is standard company policy and is enforced for our own safety and
security.
