MESSAGE

We have just come to the end of the Year 2016 the last year of
implementation of our six-year Division Education Development Plan (DEDP) 2011
2016.
As we gathered the data and information about our accomplishments for the
Year 2016, we were filled with excitement to note the results of our stratagems and
contentment to notice the impact of our endeavors in our clients. The experience
was tantamount to the excitement and contentment of ordinary farmers with
bountiful harvests.
We started the Year 2016 with the challenges of the full implementation of
the Rationalization Program of DepEd. With the personnel of the new functional
divisions oriented with their respective Key Results Areas (KRAs) and deliverables,
throughout the year we worked in composite teams and moved in solid, strategic
formation while we observed the delineation of our functions. Division Field
Technical Assistance Composite Teams (DFTACTs ) were created, and together we
ensured our schools to observe the standards, monitored their progress and gave
them technical assistance according to their needs. As part of our achievements
this year, twenty-one (21) public schools for Level III and thirty-two (32) public
schools for Level II were recognized by the Regional Office for their SBM Level of
Practice. It is a confirmation of the pleasing effects of the synergy among the three
(3) functional divisions with the cooperation of our stakeholders in the
implementation of our DEDP programs and projects.
We owe our great harvest this year to our stakeholders. Our schools, both
public and private, supported us by religiously implementing the DepEd programs
and projects in their respective schools. Both our Municipal Governments and Non-
Government Organizations (NGOs) also provided us not only with their presence
during the convergence meetings but also with the needed financial, material and
moral supports. Most importantly, our Governor, Hon. Damian G. Mercado, as well
as our Congressman, Hon. Roger G. Mercado, assisted us visibly throughout the
year, extending not only material and financial supports but also the necessary
encouragements and inspirations. Certainly, this years harvest is a product of the
partnership and collaboration between the Division Office and our loyal
stakeholders.
On this note, we extend our sincere gratitude to all of you, our dear
stakeholders. We are looking forward to another year of joyful partnership and
collaboration with you during the implementation of our Project UGMAD Southern
Leyte in support of the Project LEAD of the Regional Office.
Once again, we thank all of you and mabuhay ang DepEd Southern Leyte!
