    CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE UNDER THE ELECTRICITY (ELECTRICAL


    INSTALLATIONS) REGULATIONS 2002

    Under the Electricity (Electrical Installations) Regulations 2002, the


    licensed electrical worker (LEW) appointed by a consumer shall issue a Certificate of
    Compliance in respect of the consumers electrical installation prior to the energisation
    of the supply line to the electrical installation. The form of the Certificate of Compliance
    was given in the Circular No. RD/E02/2002 dated 30 Dec 2002.

    2 Feedback from the industry shows that for an electrical installation


    designed and installed by two different LEWs, both the LEWs would need to certify
    compliance for the electrical installation. Consequently, the form of the Certificate of
    Compliance has been modified accordingly. The revised form of the Certificate of
    Compliance is given in the Appendix.

    3 The revised form of the Certificate of Compliance shall take effect from 1
    Aug 2003 and henceforth supersede the form issued under Circular No: RD/E02/2002
    dated 30 Dec 2002.

    responsible for the installation work as shown below, I hereby request for the energisation of

    turning on the switchgear which controls the supply of electricity to the said electrical
    installation have been complied with.
