Diagnosis: Undifferentiated Schizophrenia

Trigger: Patient Yamagutchi is sitting down


Biographical data:

Name: Yamagutchi Silvana Gender: Female

Age: 25 years old

Family background: Mother is alcoholic and abusive

Grandmother has a history of mental illness

Hospitalizations: She was first admitted when her face was burnt when she was 14 years old

History:

- When patient was 14 years old she was abused by her alcoholic mother (Burned her face with boiling
water)

-When patient was 18 years old she was ridiculed for her burnt face (bullied)

-She wasnt able to go to college afraid to be ridiculed

- She has a job as a call center agent but was later on fired due to her unusual behaviour (e.g poor hygiene,
jumping from one topic to another, inappropriate answers to the queries of the clients, disassembling the
computers and telephone)

-Unusual behaviour occurred for about 6 months

- After she was fired, her brother reported that she isnt moving for hours just sitting in her chair looking at a
blank wall

Manifestation: -Poor performance in work, says words in an inappropriate manner.

-Disorganized speech

-hallucination, delusion

- Social withdrawal

- Staying in a rigid position for a long period of time

- Loss of interest or enjoyment in life

-Poor insight( The patient does not know that they have schizophrenia even though they have all of
the symptoms of psychosis)

Medications: Zyprexa or Risperdal
