Romp and stomp

The Romp N Stomp is intended to be great soccer, foster healthy competition, and a day to enjoy a season
of soccer energy with all our kids. Trophies are awarded for winning teams in the U9, U10 and U12 brackets
and are placed in area schools for the year. While competitive, the goal of this is FUN FOR ALL.
U9B/G - First place will be based on best overall record after completion of round robin play.
(no ties - see below #3) advance to the finals, while losing teams will play in the consolation match.
The finalists on the boys side are determined based on standings after two games.
After your second game, your team should report to the scorers table - each player receives a souvenir &
LSC would like a team photo. U9 championship will be determined by winner of the 'finals'.
Finals teams are selected based upon overall record. Tie breakers as follows:
Tie - breakers (ranked in order - the first team "win" of a tie breaker moves on)
1. Team with a win in head-to-head games has the better record (if more than two teams are tied, does not apply)
2. Bonus points (Win = 3 points, Tie = 1 point, Loss = 0 points) + additional BPs as follows:
Winning teams can earn up to 3 BPs per game based on goal differential (no adv. to running up score).
Examples: A win of 10-0 = 3+3 BPs; a win of 2-1 = 3+1 BPs. BPs only come into play for tiebreaker purposes.
3. 2 x 5 minute overtimes - no golden goal. If game remains tied, procede to shootouts (FIFA rules)
Teams failing to show at the proper field within 15 minutes of scheduled start time forfeit unless opposing coach or Scoring official
grants additional time (A scoring official may only grant time if the delay is due to a Coach active in another previously scheudled game).
Because game times are subject to change, the official start time is determined at the Scorer's table.
If forfeiture occurs during a preliminary rounds, the score will be considered 1-0 for purposes of tie breakers.
ALL COACHES MUST CHECK IN AT SCORERS TABLE PRIOR TO THE START OF SEMIFINALS/FINALS
If for semifinals/finals a team is not present the next seeded team will play as an alternate but must be
present within 15 minutes of planned start; i.e. not based on time of notification, AND must have reported to SCORER'S TABLE
