CONCLUSION :

There is no precise and comprehensive definition of child sexual abuse, however, sexual abuse
to a child refers to violent sexual acts which will physically and mentally harm a child. Child
sexual abuse is a burning problem in almost all countries and especially in Pakistan. Child sexual
abuse is a an attempt or sexual assault by a grown up man or by a child of older or same age
towards the child to commit sexual act with him without his consent.

Types of child abuse :

The World Health Organization distinguishes four types of child maltreatment: physical
abuse; sexual abuse; emotional (or psychological) abuse; and neglect

Physical child abuse is an injury resulting from physical aggression. Even if the injury was not
intended, the act is considered physical abuse. Sexual abuse of a child is any sexual act
between an adult and a child, including penetration, intercourse, incest, rape, oral sex, and
sodomy. Emotional child abuse is any attitude, behavior, or failure to act that interferes with
a child's mental health or social development. It can range from a simple verbal insult to an
extreme form of punishment. Emotional abuse is almost always present when another form of
abuse is found. Surprisingly, emotional abuse can have more long-lasting negative psychiatric
effects than either physical abuse or sexual abuse. Child neglect is a very common type of child
abuse. According to Child Welfare Information Gateway, more children suffer from neglect than
from physical and sexual abuse combined. Yet victims are not often identified, primarily
because neglect is a type of child abuse that is an act of omission - of not doing something.

Zainab murder and rape case :

“I am a girl. My name is Zainab. My father’s name is Ameen. I am seven years old. I

live in Kasur. I am student of grade one, and I like mangoes very much.”

This is the last writing of that innocent girl, which she penned as her introduction in
her Urdu homework notebook as an ‘essay’ on her person. Then a cruel and
apathetic savage pounced on these words and soaked them in blood. And today,
every face has become a picture of helplessness; asking only one question: is it
essential that every time a Zainab must sacrifice her honour and life to expose the
apathy and cruelty of a savage?

The assault-cum-murder of innocent Zainab has shaken the conscience of the nation
once again. Such incidents have ever been taking place all-over the world without
any distinction of developed or developing and Muslim or non-Muslim countries
