God is Love Discussion:

1. What do you think it means that “God is love”?
2. There are four different types of love in the Bible. This is the agape love.
Look up the definition of agape love with a parent. Discuss.

1. Does God love everyone? How do you know this? Discuss. Find John 3:16 to
confirm your answer.
2. Do you have to do any thing to be loved by God? Discuss.
3. What are some at tributes (or characteristics) of love? Discuss.
Find 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 in your Bible to confirm your answer.
4. God is our Father. What are some ways our Father shows us He loves us?
Discuss.

1. What was the law that the lawyer answered Jesus with?
2. Was the lawyer right according to Jesus?
3. What question did the lawyer ask Jesus to justify himself?
4. Narrate the parable Jesus used as his example to the lawyer.
5. Answer the question from verse 36.
6. Did you have the same answer as the lawyer?
7. Were you and the lawyer right?
Loving Others Discussion:

1. What do you think it means to love your neighbor? Discuss.
2. Is it easy to love your neighbor? Discuss.
3. The definition of a neighbor is different from a dictionary to a Bible.
Write down the definition of a neighbor from what the Bible is saying.
Who is your neighbor?

Apply It To Your Life
1. What are at tributes (or characteristics) of a loving person? Discuss.
2. What is the opposite of love? Discuss. (HINT: the opposite of love is
selfishness; not hate).
3. What are the at tributes (or characteristics) of someone who’s selfish?
4. Based on love and selfishness, are there areas that you can work on to
be more loving towards others? Discuss.
Because we love God first, we can love others. Share some examples of how you can
show love to others? List them below.

memorize it.
