    MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

    For the purpose of developing student’s ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with various disciplines
    in actual office and field situation, expose them the dynamics of engineering practices and technology;
    acquire the construction supervision skills, develop professional discipline, the Department of Civil
    Engineering, College of Engineering, Isabela State University enters into this agreement with the
    Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Quezon, San Isidro, Isabela.

    a. One or more students taking the on-the-job training (OJT) program shall be detailed on a part
    time basis to the said cooperating firm/agency from June-August, 2019.
    b. The OJT students will render work and other task or responsibilities agreed upon by the
    owner/manager or cooperating firm/agency and the coordinator of the ISU-OJT programs as
    stipulated in the program of work jointly prepared for the purpose.
    c. The cooperating firm/agency shall take all precautionary measures to safeguard the welfare of the
    students while undergoing the OJT program within the premises of the firm/agency.
    d. The OJT students will be treated as a regular employee in terms of work load but are not entitled
    to any salary, wages or allowance or any form of remuneration. However, if the cooperating
    agency desires, it may provide monetary benefits on a voluntary basis.
    e. While on the OJT program the student’s conduct in the training shall be guided by the University
    rules on student’s behavior and also by pertinent rules and regulations, policies, and standard
    operating procedures of the cooperating agency/firm.
    f. The OJT coordinator or its representative or authorized officials of the University shall be
    allowed to visit from time to time the students of the cooperating firm/agency for the purpose of
    evaluating the students’ performance in the OJT period.
    g. The cooperating firm/agency shall require and monitor the daily attendance of OJT students.
    h. The cooperating firm/agency shall provide guidance data and technical information of the re-
    entry plan.
    i. The cooperating firm/agency shall impart theoretical as well as experimental learning to the
    students; expose them to all facets of business operation relevant to the objective of the program;
    and participate in the final evaluation for the students’ performance.
    j. The students; after finishing the OJT Program. Will submit a comprehensive report on re-entry
    plan of the training as a requirement for graduation.
    k. This agreement maybe discontinued at any time by either of the parties if in its judgement the
    welfare of the other parties is prejudiced. However, prior notice will be required for such action in
    the discontinuance of training.

    IN WITNESS THEREOF, parties here to sign this agreement to be executed by the respective parties or
    his authorized representative on the dates indicated opposite their respective signature.
