Objective: State the reasons we did the lab. If a hypothesis is involved, this is the place to state it.
Materials: List all of the materials you actually used.
Design: Sketch the design you started with for your mousetrap car.
Modifications: List all modifications done and the result of each. These should be a numbered list.
Data: This section contains the results of the experiment. It consists of the information gathered during the experiment and any graphs, charts, or calculations. If using graphs, they MUST be labeled.
Conclusion: This section is the most important part of the lab write-up. Write in paragraph form. Put into your own words what your observations tell you. Do not repeat the data but try to make generalizations. Discuss and explain results. Explain graphs. Discuss trends. In addition how could the lab be improved?
