MODULE 1
A. Direction: Revise the following statements so that they would follow the 7Cs of
business
letter writing.
1. It has come to my knowledge that you have an urgent need for a proposal.
>> I want to inform you that you have an urgent meeting at 9:00 AM tomorrow.
3.This is to request for your good office to give me a copy of your bank statements.
>> May I request a copy of your bank statements from your good office?
5. I would like to express my interest in taking a vacation from May 1-7, 2022.
>> I hope you will grant my request to take a vacation from May 1 to May 7, 2022.
6. There are fifteen agents who will be attending the Sales Conference which will be
held on December 18, 2022.
>> Fifteen agents from our company will be attending the Sales Conference on
December 18, 2022.
Advise- A verb that means to offer suggestions meant to help or inform someone.
Example: The health secretary advised the public to stay at home as much as
possible.
Follow up- A verb that means to pursue an issue through a subsequent action.
Example: The event is tomorrow afternoon but you still haven’t planned. I need you
to follow up on that as soon as possible.
With regards to- to indicate the subject that is being talked or written about.
Example: They have been circularized with regards to the new design.
With regard to- is a preposition that signals a reference to the subject of a sentence.
Example: I am writing with regard to your recent order.
Please- take only one's own wishes into consideration in deciding how to act or
proceed.
Example: I hope you will please write to me from all the cities you visit.
Regardless- without paying attention to the present situation; despite the prevailing
circumstances.
Example: I'll do that regardless of the consequences.
Continual- happening repeatedly, usually in an annoying or not convenient way.
Example: Continual calm reassurance should be given.
