    APPOINTS NEW

    MANAGING DIRECTOR

    The Board of Directors of BANK OF AFRICA TANZANIA LIMITED is


    pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Adam Mihayo as the
    Bank's new CEO and Managing Director effective 1st September 2021,
    replacing Mr. Joseph Iha Wanje, whose tenure ended in April 2020.
    Adam has over
    13 yearsʼ experience in the banking industry - working for Local,
    Regional and Global banks with a career history spanning across
    Retail, SME and Corporate. He is an industry expert in Risk Manage-
    ment.

    Prior to joining BANK OF AFRICA TANZANIA LIMITED, Mr. Mihayo


    was the Credit Director of Absa Bank Tanzania Limited, where he
    successfully led the credit function of the bank and actively participated
    in defining strategic objectives to support business growth. Prior to that
    he served as the Head of Credit for Personal and Business banking at
    Stanbic Bank Tanzania Limited. Adam started his banking career at the
    National Bank of Commerce (NBC) Limited where he was among the
    few talented bankers identified for Management Training at Absa Bank
    in South Africa back in 2008.

    Adam holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce (Hons), Majoring in


    Corporate Finance from the University of Dar es Salaam and has
    attended several executive Leadership and management courses.
    He brings to the bank a unique set of skills, and experience which will
    be instrumental in taking the Bank of Africa Tanzania to new heights. I
    am confident that his leadership, finance and banking experience will
    enable the bank to maintain its competiveness as it continues to improve
    its services and product offerings to clients which is in line with govern-
    mentʼs policy of achieving economic development and financial inclu-
    sion in the country.

    On behalf of the Board, I wish Adam every success in leading the bank
    to deliver its promise to all its stakeholders.
