NHITM STUDENT COUNCIL 2021 - 2022

The Student Council of NHITM gives students an opportunity to develop leadership by


organizing and carrying out college activities and responsibilities. In addition to planning
events that contribute to college spirit and community welfare, the student council is the
voice of the student body. The student council is constituted every year by nomination with
the consent of the principal and senior staff members. The selection procedure for this year
was conducted successfully and we are proud to announce the Student Council Members for
the academic year 2021-2022

I have always been inquisitive to take initiatives and grab opportunities in my life.
This principle of my life motivated me to apply for the position of the Jr. Finance
secretary. I shall be responsible and accountable for the student council account. Be
responsible for keeping up-to-date records of all financial transactions of the council.

skills.I shall try to encourage maximum participation of students from our institute in cross
country technical events by increasing our connections with other institutions. My long-
term goal is to have a qualitative functioning of clubs and projects rather than a quantitative
one.”

DELOITTE - PLACEMENT DRIVE
The Training and Placement Cell of NHITM organized a placement drive of Deloitte for the
2021 Batch Computer Engineering students on 11 August 2021. Deloitte is a leading global
provider of audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, and related
services. With more than 150 years of hard work and commitment to making a real
difference, the company organization has grown in scale and diversity—approximately
286,000 people in 150 countries and territories, providing these services—yet their shared
culture remains the same.

WEBINAR – Aptitude Building For Jobs And Higher Education


Aptitude is a very important aspect of a person’s life. By aptitude, we usually refer to
Quantitative aptitude – that basically judges our analytical and problem solving skills. It
refers to our unique abilities as a human being – and how well we are able to apply them to
specific questions. In short, Aptitude is what characterizes the analytical and application
ability of an individual, because it is very much essential for human to think in complex
situations. Considering the relevance of Aptitude, the Training and Placement Cell and
Department of Mechanical Engineering in collaboration with Career Launcher organized a
webinar on Aptitude Building for Jobs and Higher Education on 24 August 2021. The main
speaker, Navneet Anand, a Business Head and also an eminent guide for MBA preparing
study groups addressed the students on the importance of aptitude in this competent and fast
moving world.

EBINAR - Building Careers In Sustainability

A Webinar on “Building Careers In Sustainability” was organized by the Training and


Placement cell, NHITM in association with GT ACADEMY on 17 August 2021. GreenTree
Global( GT Academy) is one of the leading Sustainability Consulting companies in India
having completed 650+ projects across 6 geographies in the world. Some of our prominent
clientele include Siemens, Panasonic, POSCO, BHEL, NTPC, DMRC, Marriott, Ritz Carlton
among others. They are also the leading Green Building Consultant for various infrastructure
projects in the country including Metro Projects (Mumbai, Pune, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut,
Agra etc), Railway Projects (WR, NR etc), Airports (Vizag, Raipur, Bhopal, Pune, Port Blair
etc).GT Academy is an e-learning initiative of GreenTree Global that aims to upskill students
and provide them access to employment opportunities with relevant organizations. Their 40-
hour comprehensive learning program offers industry-oriented learning sessions to students
and gives them access to employment opportunities in the field of Sustainability, Energy
Efficiency and Climate Change. The program was for Mechanical, Civil and Electrical
engineering students.
Installation Of ISHRAE Students Chapter
The Department of Mechanical Engineering established Indian Society of Heating
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) Student’s Chapter for the Society
Year 2021-22 on 28th August 2021. The ceremony was conducted on virtual platform using
Google Meet Application in the presence of Principal, Dr. Prashant Deshmukh, Head,
Mechanical Engineering Department- Mr. Satish Silaskar, the Faculty Advisor- Mr.
Prathamesh Choughule, Faculty Members of the Department, ISHRAE Student Members &
ISHRAE Thane Chapter Office Bearers – Mr. Rajan Gaonkar (President), Mr. Sanjay Verma
(Student Activity Zonal Chair- West), Mr. U.M. Momin (Student Activity Chair). The Indian
Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in
1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE today has more
than 14,000 HVAC&R professionals as members and additionally there are 10,000 Student-
members. ISHRAE operates from 41 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with
HQ in Delhi.
