III. PROCEDURES

Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity

 Classroom Routine
 Prayer
Okay class, let us bow our heads for
a word of prayer. The teacher will say the prayers
(The students will bow their heads
Our most gracious, kind, loving and for a word of prayer)
heavenly Father. We thank you for
everything. As we are going to start our class
discussion please guide and guard us always. Amen. (All)
Forgive our sins. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
 Greetings:
Good morning Class! How are you
today?Okay kindly arrange your Good Morning Maam, good morning
chairs, pick up some pieces of classmates.
papers, thank you. Please take your seat. (The students will arrange their
chairs.)
 Checking of Attendance
Let us check your attendance. Why
is it that there a lot who are absent
today? Do you know the reason
why? Tell them to come to my office Ma'am? Ms. Maderal is absent
if ever they are present in your next because she has a fever. Her mother
subjects. sent us her excuse letter.

Okay.
Yes ma'am

 Recall

Before we start our lesson for

Ma'am, our previous topic was all
today, first let us have a review
about Summarize Key Information
or recall about our previous from a Text
topic. So, what was our previous
topic all about? Ms. Villafuerte?
Thank you. Very good Ms.
Villafuerte.

What are the difference between

summarizing and paraphrasing?

Ms. Maderal? (The student will answer the

question.)
Yes, very good.

 Motivation

So, I have here some pictures. What have (The students will participate the given
you observed in the picture below? activity)
Anyone? Raise your hands if you want to
answer. Yes Ms. Maderal?

Very good. The picture is all about the

different bodies of water. Water is the basic
element of nature. It covers 70% of the
earth surface.

A. Activity (The student will answer the questions.)

First let us have an activity. Group

yourselves into two groups. Arrange the
following words below.
Write your answers in a ¼ sheet of paper in
(all the students went to their respective
every group then at the back of your
Evaporation Condensation groups and plan their activities.)
paper. Write the names of your group
Sublimation
members. Okay, answer that within 5
minutes. Timer starts now. Are you done?
Precipitation Transpiration
Runoff Okay pass your paper.

Infiltration Water Rain

1. NOITAROPAVE. 6. FFONUR
2. NOITASNEDNOC. 7. NOITARTLIFNI
3. NOITAMILBUS. 8. RETAW
4. NOITATIPICERP. 9. NIAR
5. NOITARIPSNART. 10. SDUOLC
A. Analysis
So class, what is rain? have you ever
wonder where rain comes from? How is
rain important in our daily lives?

Rain is a liquid water in the form of droplets

that have condensed from atmospheric
water vapor and it became heavy enough
to fall under gravity.

B. Abstraction

So our lesson for today is about

water cycle. But first let me read to
you the objectives of this lesson.
(Students will settle in their seats and
Water is the basic element of
listens to the class discussion.)
nature.

What are the benefits that we can

get with water? It provides life,
eases out heat, drains harmful
substances and mediates many
day-to-day works.
Water needs to be replenished,
purified and circulated again and
again so that it can perform its
function. Nature does this job
through a process called water
cycle or hydrologic cycle. Rain is the
major component of water cycle.
What is water cycle?
- shows the continuous movement
of the water within the earth and
atmosphere.

(The teacher will present the chart

of the water cycle.)
Steps in Water Cycle

1. Evaporation - a process where

water at the surface turns into
water vapor. It moved from
hydrosphere to atmosphere.

2. Condensation - process of water

vapor turning back into liquid
water, with the best example being
those big, fluffy clouds floating over
your head.

3. Sublimation - a process where ice

directly converts into water vapor
without converting into liquid
water.

4. Precipitation - is any product of

the condensation of atmospheric
water vapor that falls under
gravitational pull from clouds. The
main forms of precipitation include
drizzling, rain, sleet, snow, ice
pellets, graupel and hail.

5. Transpiration - a process similar

to evaporation where liquid water
is turned into water vapor by the
plants.

6. Runoff - the process where water

runs over the surface of the earth.
7. Infiltration - some of the water
that precipitates does not runoff
into lakes and oceans. It moves
deep into the soil.

So, those are the process of water

cycle.
(The students will participate in the given
activity.)
C. Application

Okay class,going back with your

groupings, label and explain the
water cycle chart below. Choose
one representative who will
present your answers to the front.
The first group who finished early
will be given a reward. Kindly start
now.

D. Generalization
Hydrological cycle/water cycle is a
never-ending global process of water
circulation from clouds to land, to the
ocean, and back to the clouds. (Ms. Maderal will answer the given
question.)
So class, why is water cycle important?
Ms. Maderal?

Water cycle is important because it is

how water reaches plants, animals and
us! Besides providing people, animals
and plants with water, it also moves
things like nutrients, pathogens and
sediment in and out of aquatic
ecosystems.

Any questions or clarifications regarding None so far Ma'am

our topic for this morning class? Okay very
good lets proceed.

Get ¼ sheet of paper and answer the

following questions below.

IV. Evaluation

Answer the following. T if the statement is TRUE and write F if the statement is FALSE.
I.
______1. Evaporation occurs wherever water is found at the surface.
______2. Higher in the atmosphere, where temperatures cool, water vapor condenses
to form clouds that will eventually fill and become saturated; this leads to precipitation.
______3. With precipitation, land is dry and incapable of sustaining any type of life.
______4. It naturally recycles water.
______5. It is powered by energy from the sun.

II. Arrange the scrambled pictures below and write the numbers only.

1. 2.

3. . 4.
Answer: 2431/1234

V. Assignment
Draw the process of water cycle and discuss its importance.
