    AFFIDAVIT OF WITNESS

    I, Police Corporal Roland Diaz Ambas, 32 years old, married, resident of


    Purok 1, Barangay Kabingan, Tuguegarao City, after having sworn in accordance
    with law, do hereby depose and state THAT:

    I was designated by PMAJ BONIFACIO, Chief of Police, as the buddy of PCpl


    Soberano for 3 months from the date he was assigned at Tuguegarao City Police
    Station. He told me that he had a hard time in coping up with his new assignment.
    So, I usually asked him to come with me in our house but he preferred not to come.

    On August 25, 2021 at about 11:30 AM, we were having our lunch at the
    canteen when PCpl Soberano had mentioned to me that he really missed his wife
    Carla Soberano. He tried to apply 3 days leave but PMAJ BONIFACIO disapproved
    the said application.

    On August 29, 2021 at about 7:30AM, we were conducting patrol when PCpl
    Soberano said to me “buddy, kailangan ko talagang umuwi. Hindi na ako makatiis
    dito”. Then I replied “nagdaan dn ako jan noong baguhan pa ako ngunit kailangan
    natin tanggapin na meron tayong tungkulin na kailangan gampanan.”

    On August 30, 2021, PCpl Soberano did not for report for duty and he did not
    even inform PMAJ BONIFACIO about his whereabouts. I tried to contact his
    cellphone number but he is out of reach.

    PMAJ BONIFACIO asked me to accompanied him going to the house of PCpl


    Soberano at Mabolo St. Brgy. Tartaria, Silang, Cavite. When we arrived at the house
    only his wife was there. PMAJ BONIFACIO asked him the whereabouts of PCpl
    Soberano but she did not tell anything about him.

    I executed this affidavit to attest the truthfulness of the foregoing facts and to
    support the filing of Administrative Case against __PCpl Marlon Ongcoy
    Soberano__ for violation of __NAPOLCOM Memorandum Circular 2016-02 Rule 21,
    Sec 1 para C sub para 1j Grave Neglect of Duty “absent from office without having
    filed necessary application for leave”.___.
