At the end of the lesson, 100% of the students shall be able to attain at least 80% of
proficiency to;
1. discuss the origin and cultural background of selected Philippine Festivals;
2. creates movements of a selected Philippine Festival and;
3. identify the importance of Philippine Festivals.

festival is the Subli dance, a worship

is all about Ati-atihan Festival. The Ati-atihan
festival is very lively, colorful and it is a
weeklong fiesta. It is known as the mother of
all festivals in the Philippines. It is a feast held
annually in honor of Sto. Nino in the island of
Kalibo, Aklan. The celebration begins in the
3rd week of January. - Ma’am the meaning of Ati-atihan is
“to be like aetas”.

That’s right! The meaning of Ati-atihan


is “to be like aetas” or “make believe in atis”.

Ati-atihan is a celebration of pact
