In view to be a successful Business professional, I am not confident that my further academic

degree in Indonesia will contribute me. I believe, vocational education has great importance in
the development of any country. Unfortunately, its importance is yet to be realized in
developing countries like Indonesia. For over two decades, Indonesia has been working to
uplift their educational standard by providing quality higher education to the citizens but there
are many obstacles and hurdles that are emerging. These challenges of quantity, equity,
quality, require proper procedure to address in the best manner in the future.
The major challenges in higher education in Indonesia are as below:
 Although, the quantity of the institutions has been multiplied, the quality education
remains a distant dream.
 The condition of higher education in universities and campuses is not satisfactory. Lack
of physical and educational facilities as well as lack of proper infrastructure is bringing
much hindrance in the way of development.
 The other factors being small faculty size, outdated educational policies, lack of
academic freedom and outdated curriculum etc.
Hence, I am looking forward to the exposure I will get by going abroad than studying there.
Why Not Other Country?

Why Australia?
Considering all the factors explained above, I have preferred to study in Australia because the
procedures for applying to Australia is easy and fast. Hence the attractive point about Australia

is that, the cost of education and living expenses are low as compared to above studied
countries. In addition, Australian Government regulates and Monitors their Universities to
maintain their academic standard. Moreover, they have developed Education Service for
Overseas Students (ESOS) act to ensure the rights of foreign students. Australia has TPS
Scheme which protects our paid tuition fees so that we can freely invest for our study.
Australia is known for its natural beauty, favorable temperature, less crime rates, modern
technologies, less population, friendly natives, cultural diversity and religious tolerance, which
is most important factors of livable places. In addition, I have also done some research
through some website i.e., www.studyinaustralia.gov.au and http://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/
and found more valuable information about Australia and their education system. In overall,
these all helped me to make my decision towards choosing Australia for my further education
destination. Australia is a leading education powerhouse with some of the best education
provider. Australia has 1100 institution with 22000 courses. Australia have 8 out of 100 top
universities in the world and Australian university are feature in top 50 ranked university in the
world in different areas like as clinical pre-clinical and health, life science, social science etc.
and found more valuable information about Australia and their education system. All these
factors helped me to make my decision towards choosing Australia for my further educational
destination. Therefore, I finally decided to study in Australia.

Obligations of student under visa subclass 500
I have read the terms and conditions of student visa and been aware of the rules for visa
condition under subclass 500. I will respect all the rules and obligations of Australia. The visa
conditions in brief are as follows:
 I should maintain 100% attendance in every unit, I will be attending my class regularly.
 I cannot change my institution until I complete my first six months of my principal
course.
 I need to get be competent in each subject in each term to pass the course successfully
and would affirm to maintain the record.
 I need to maintain health insurance Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) till I
remain in Australia.
 I must inform Kingston Institute Australia about the change of my address within 7 days.
 I am allowed to work 40 hours per fortnight on part time basis during my study session.
 Must have sufficient funds to cover my study and expenses during my stay in Australia.
 Should pay their fee before due date.
 If student migrate or change the contact details, he/she has to inform the immigration
and concerned department of college within a week.
I am aware on the violation of any of these visa rules and if cancelled at any point of time that I
may have to leave Australia.
In conclusion, I would like to reaffirm that I have I made an important decision of my life to
study at Kingston International Institute and build up my future career path taking up Diploma
and Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (IT). I hereby submit my application along

your review and kind consideration. This study is very vital for making me a capable individual
who can improve his own life, his family’s life as well as become a bridge between Australia
and Indonesia for mutual understanding and cooperation by importing technical skill, culture,
acquaintances and friends from Australia and contribute to the development of my country.
