Introductory Message
For the facilitator:
As a facilitator, you are expected to orient the learners on how to use this
module. You also need to keep track of the learners' progress while allowing
them to manage their own learning. Furthermore, you are expected to
encourage and assist the learners as they do the tasks included in the
module.
This module was designed to provide you with fun and meaningful
opportunities for guided and independent learning at your own pace and
time. You will be enabled to process the contents of the learning resource
while being an active learner.
1. Use the module with care. Do not put unnecessary mark/s on any part
of the module. Use a separate sheet of paper in answering the exercises.
2. Don’t forget to answer What am I good at? before moving on to the other
activities included in the module.
3. Read the instruction carefully before doing each task.
4. Observe honesty and integrity in doing the tasks and checking your
answers.
5. Finish the task at hand before proceeding to the next.
6. Return this module to your teacher/facilitator once you are through

What will I do?
Directions: Read the paragraph.
While most people were locked down at home because of Covid 19 pandemic,
Gabbie considered it as a good opportunity for her to help mother in doing some
household chores.
Gabbie help her mother baked their favorite cake. First, they prepared the
baking tin, spoon, bowl and other utensils. Then they gathered all the ingredients for
the cake like flour, sugar, butter, milk, chocolate, and some eggs. After everything was
ready, they mixed all the ingredients in the bowl. Next, mother poured the mixture in
the baking tin, then she placed it inside the oven. After an hour, the cake was ready.
Gabbie added some icing and fruits on top of the cake. Everybody enjoyed Gabbie’s
special chocolate cake.
These two group of nouns were the things used by Gabbie and her mother to
bake the cake.

Nouns listed in column A are nouns or things that can be counted and can be
pluralized. They are called count or countable nouns.
Nouns listed in column B are nouns or things that cannot be counted separately.
Generally, they cannot be pluralized. These nouns are called mass or uncountable
nouns.

Count nouns are nouns you can count. They are individual units and can be
pluralized.
Mass nouns are nouns that cannot be counted. We use units of measurement to
count them and cannot be pluralize
