To sum it up, the aim of this program is to recognize the vital role of young people in
the development of nations, to foster awareness among young people and to develop the
natural, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being. It instils in youth patriotism,
nationalism, and promotes participation in public and civic affairs. The NSTP courses have
proven effective in where it have influenced to a certain extent in students' self-improvement,
performance, community involvement and abilities. We students can serve the community by
means of actively participating in community programs which provide people in the
community with good service and essential benefits.
A. List down the activities in your church of which you are involved and tell
something about those activities.

Black Rosary
Christmas Party
Lectors/Choir
These activities help the church and also we people because these kinds of church
activities also connects with the community. The unity and diversity of our group enriches
the church community and help to encourage other people to gather together and provide

them the glory of our Lord.
Church activities practice us youth to volunteer by the use of our talents and abilities
to the people in our community. To outreach our hands to people who are in need,
especially that Churches promote actions of humanity, good samaritan, and patriotism. It
felt good to share words of God from our bible study, it was also nice to pray for other
people’s and bless their home through black rosary, it was nice giving things and
accepting gifts from other people generously, and lastly, our heart will always be touched
when we are serving in the church for our God through singing or through reading His
words for the people in the community who wanted to listen.
B. Do you have any experience helping your neighbors in times of calamity or
need? Can you share it by writing an essay about that time and what did you
do?
I remembered when I was still in my younger days, my mother, lend a hand and
shelter our neighbor during a storm because their place is in danger for landslide and
have a possibility to collapse. We Filipinos really are really hospitable humans. My
mother told me to help her because she prepared a bed for them in our guest room.
Volunteering to aid disaster victims isn’t that hard, especially if helping comes from the
heart.
The first people who are there to help us are our neighbors; they are the first
responders to lend us a hand. They may be loud and bother us sometimes, but in

calamity, they will help. Young or old can help in every way they can, like, giving them
clothes that aren’t being used anymore, giving them food if you still have more
supplies, or volunteering on clean ups, and many more ways.
I am very much thankful that my mom taught me the importance of helping
others without any exchange or by just volunteering. Some of us people are not that
rich financially in our lives, we still lacks and crave for needed things that can’t be
reach easily. Giving free service to help others can give a satisfying feeling. You can
share your happiness to others, and if they repay us with their smile, those are already
enough payment and worth it.
C. You and your community
Directions: Describe yourself and narrate your contributions as a good
member of your respective municipality.
Paying our taxes, obeying laws, being kind and be a good citizen can
already have a great impact in contributing in our society. Being an individual
can be an incredible thing in our lives. Since it is a sign that you are respectful
you would grow up in the right way. You would have grown up by learning that
you have applied it in yourself. As a good one, a respectful person can be
established. As long as many can appreciate us in this way, many can be
happy and proud about what we did in ourselves to be kind and a good person.
Personally, I contribute to society through being a good citizen that obeys
the law that does not contradict the nature’s law. As we all know, society is a
collection of people from completely different families. Therefore, we should
concentrate on improving its building blocks – families – in order to have a
stable and peaceful society. It is not always’ the society’s fault. We people are,
because we people are what makes a society, we are the foundation of our
community that it can stand with our help.
The best thing we can do for our society is to grow from it as a person
and behind more a mature conscious being. This will allow us to teach others
what they need to know and how they can have the happiness and
contentment they are wanting from the beginning. This will be profitable for the
community too, which is facing the deficiency of internal peace that comes
from a happy soul and for me too as a person who is living in a society. It will
first start in our family to be educated that living in a peaceful environment is
what we are conquering ever since then.
D. Draw a picture of the environment where your family
lives. Describe how clean and safe your place is.
Direction: Create a concept map about your responsibilities as a good citizen to
protect your rights. Think of a major responsibility and under each, write how you
can perform such responsibilities.
