CONTINGENCY PLANNING

I. BACKGROUND:

LOCATION: 3RD District of Cebu Province , 50 km. from Cebu City and situated in the mid-western
sea board in the island province with 38 barangays (10 are urban and 28 are rural).The City is 25 nautical
miles across the strait of Negros Occidental San Carlos City and is located 13.9 km. to it’s south is
Pinamungajan, to it’s west are the municipality of Minglanilla and the Cities of Talisay, Naga ,and Cebu
and to it’s north is Balamban.

DEMOGRAPHY: Estimated City total pop. Is 240,000 as of 2016

SCHOOL:

ECONOMY: INDUSTRIAL PLANTS, AGRICULTURE, FISHING, TOURISM AND COMMERCE AND


TRADE.

GEOPHYSICAL :Narrow coastal plains that suddenly give ways to a few rolling hills and rugged
mountain ranges and slopes, plateaus ad valleys in the interior make up 5700 hectres and about 200
hectares along the coast line have elevation less than 40 meters above the sea level.

TOLEDO CITY HAS EXISTING ACTIVE DRRMC .

II. OBJECTIVES: 1.To prepare the students and faculty members from the hazard of disaster such
as typhoon and flood

2.To plan interventions on the identified water- related hazards in the Division
of Toledo City.

2.To respond after the occurrence of disaster and or emergency.

III. HAZARDS:
