concise, formal business style, using single spacing and font size 12. You are required to make
use of headings, paragraphs and subsections as appropriate, and all work must be supported
with research and referenced using Harvard referencing system. Provide a bibliography using
the Harvard referencing system. The recommended word limit is 3000-4000 words. You will

Management is the act of getting people together to accomplish desired goals and objectives
using available resources efficiently and effectively. Since organizations can be viewed as
systems, management can also be defined as human action, including design, to facilitate the
production of useful outcomes from a system. This view opens the opportunity to manage
oneself, a pre-requisite to attempting to manage others. As a newly appointed Business
Development Manager for an organisation of your choice, you have been tasked with leading
on developing the business of organizational change. In order to test your abilities, the
managing director has asked you to carry out a research on environmental analysis and the
fundamental concepts and principles of business applicable to the organisation. Based on the
findings of your research, provide answers on all of the following tasks
Task 01.
Identify the “different types of organization” that exist in the country. And explain the
purposes of your organization and why you think its purpose (reason of existence) is
different from the manufacturing company/ service oriented company.
Explains the “legal structure of organisations” that exists in the country. And draws the pros
and cons of these legal forms.
Differentiate between SMALL, MEDIUM and LARGE organisations including their
objectives.
Explains the scopes for different sized organisations to meet its objectives
Discuss the growth options (scope) available for your organization such as Franchising,
Licencing, Merger, and acquisition in order to achieve its strategic objectives. You are
required to draw the advantages for selecting a particular option with recommendations,
while considering the strengths and weakness.
Explains the different types of organisational structure available for organisations including
its advantages and disadvantages. And also identify the organisational structure for your
organization.
Explains the importance of your organization functions such as Marketing, Finance, etc. to
achieve its objectives.
Analyse the interrelationship between your organization functional departments including its
advantages and disadvantages and the impacts on its structure.
Using the findings from the above questions, Investigate the complexities of different types
of business structure available for your organization and the interrelationships of its different
functions. And also you are required to draw a possible organisational structure and
functions for the organization along with recommendations for a better interrelationship
