CONTENT STANDARDS 3.1 Concept of one over two and one over four in proper fractions
LEARNING STANDARDS 3.1.1 Identify one over two, one over four, two over four and three over four
In the end of the class, pupils will be able to:
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Identify and understand one over two and one over four fractions
Pupils can:-
SUCCESS CRITERIA
Identify, at least three one over two and one over four fractions correctly
Pre-lesson:-
1. Pupils recall previous lesson on basic operation of addition and subtraction
Activities:-
2. Teacher guides the pupils to tell stories about objects that show two equal parts
in the picture on page 1, textbook (HOTS)
3. Pupils discuss about daily situations related to fractions
4. Teacher explains that fraction is part of object through simulation. Each part
must be equal in size
PDPC ACTIVTIES
5. Teacher mentions that one over two is usually known as half
6. Pupils carry out coloring or shading activities of one part from two parts of
various shapes in pair. Each pair gets different shapes (21st CA)
7. Pupils answer the given questions in the exercise book (CBA)
8. Pupils solve questions in the activity book

Divide the cookies into equal parts correctly
Pre-lesson:-
1. Pupils recall previous lesson on fractions
Activities:-
2. Teacher guides the pupils to divide the cookies into equal parts (HOTS)
3. Teacher divides the pupils into groups of 4 to 6 (21st CA)
4. Pupils get plasticine clay, mold, saucer, ruler and decorative material
5. Pupils prepare the cookies into one over two, two over four, one over four and

6. Pupils prepare the cookies by following the instructions on page 6, textbook
7. Pupils present their works in front of class. Pupils give conclusion based on the
activity involved in preparing the cookies
