On September 14th the Myrtle Beach Womans Club had their first Fundraiser of the Year. Sharon Clayton, owner of the Frugal Princess Boutique, a valued friend and supporter of our club, donated 100% of the of the $1000.00 raised, which benefits our OCTOBER 8TH, 2011 SUMMIT MEETING Scholarship program. Our ladies always enjoy working this fun event and of coarse @ WANDA HOWARDS BEACH HOUSE, finding that little treasure for an upcoming occasion. Thank You to Earlene, Judy, & JoAnn for arranging this event and the setting up of our scheduled times to work. 208 SOUTH WACCAMAW DR. To date our 2011-2012 Scholarship Donor Program has amassed $1450.00. We have a long way to go to reach our goal of $7000.00 which is allotted to Scholarships. PLEASE CONTACT GWEN RUMPH (Education Dept.) FOR DONOR PACKETS. We have a 50% chance at success for every contact made, no contact equals 0 success.

Conservation Departments Fall Spruce-up @ Gardens By the Sea is set for October 22nd. Please bring your planting and weeding utensils. Each member is asked to bring a plant (perennial) or pumpkin. Please contact JoAnn (Department Chair) if unable to attend. (A plant would still be appreciated ). To date, we have 10 Paver engravings ready to be installed. Paver Engraving is our clubs only ongoing fundraiser and each member is expected to sell at least MEMORY one paver in the gardens each year.

October is also National Fire prevention month. Myrtle Beach Firefighters, along with other area departments, will be wearing a pink shirt as a stand against Breast Cancer. Our own, Rhonda Brown, is the MB Fire Department Administrative Secretary, and known as Mom to many of the firefighters and their families. Lets be supportive and wear PINK too. Kimberly Elko, who owns Elko Spas Billiards Pools is Involved with many organizations such as Horry County Homeowners Association in Promoting benefits to local Charities. Gretchen Abney on the Board of HOPE HOUSE INC.for homeless Students wanting to further Their education. We help With MBHS at the Dickens Festival to further this Endeavor. Sherry Singleton Is on the Steering Committee of Habitat for Humanity Womans Build Brenda Jackson and Sybil Lay are both involved with The Coast of Carolina Parrot Head Club which is also a non profit Club that has Events to benefit local Charities. Wishes for speedy recovery for Sarah Nelson, who recently had her Tonsils removed. Eat lots of Ice Cream Sarah, it has a cooling, soothing effect, albeit the Calories. Please continue to keep in your Prayers all those who are in need and going through stressful times. We truly need the support and Love from each other to get over The humps and bumps in our Journey through life. God Bless

PLEASE BRING YOUR PET AND HAVE PICTURES TAKEN WITH SANTA CLAUS THAT CAN BE USED TO DECORATED YOUR CHRISTMAS CARDS. PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT BENEFITS THE HORRY COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER.
