Where oh where does the time go? I cant believe that we are fast approaching the end of Our calendar year. Our Club ladies however, continue to work hard in fulfilling our commitments and goals that are current. Under Education, Gretchen attended HGTC Scholarship Awardees' Recognition dinner on April 17th @ the Conference Center, Grand Strand Campus. Linda M. presented MBWC $2000.00 scholarship donation to HGTC President

28 MEMORIAL DAY

Neyle Wilson. Our 2011/12 Scholarship recipient was Carolyn Davis. Our $1000.00 scholarship donation to a Myrtle Beach High School graduating senior will be presented in May. Our 2011/12 Scholarship Donors include GLENNS BAY DENTAL ASSOCIATES, MCMILLANSMALL FUNERAL HOME, SOUTH ATLANTIC BANK, JACKSON FAMILY FUND FOUNDATION, & FRUGAL PRINCESS (SHARON CLAYTON}. Certificates of Appreciation will be presented

to each Donor in May. Our Scholarship Donor Program is an ongoing project which is a major means of financing our established scholarship recipients.
31 END OF CLUB CALENDAR YEAR Under Conservation, the MBWC has another ongoing project with members securing participants to purchase Pavers in honor or memory of love ones. Currently we have five Pavers set for engraving June. Spring Spruce up has been moved to May 5th and members are asked to bring two plants and lots of energy for planting and weeding. Under Community Affairs, Sherry has sent out a notice to

members that we would be participating in the Womans Build on May 26th, (Conway) beginning@ 8AM, & ending 2pm. Depending on the progress of the build our eager Hands could be used in painting, Landscape or Cleaning. Wherever, it should be a fun and satisfying experience and a Way to relieve our anxieties.

Laura, JoAnn, & Judy, represented The MBWC @ the ACS Relay for Life by walking with Stephanie Marlowes team All night for the fight in memory of Stephanies mother RHONDA BROWN.

PLEASE, PLEASE REMEMBER TO GATHER TOGETHER, & HAND IN YOUR END OF YEAR ANNUAL REPORTS, WHICH THE RECD SECY EDITS & FILES. A COPY IS ALSO PLACED IN EACH RESPECTIVE DEPARMENTS FOLDER, WHICH BECOMES A GUIDE FOR THE NEW PERSON TAKING OVER THAT POSITON.

FUNDRAISERS UPDATE I would like to say thank you to Eileen Cyrus for presenting to the MBWC an opportunity to raise some monies toward our Scholarship Program. Eileen owns IYQ and makes and array of Ribbon Scarves and Necklaces in many colors. This Fundraiser ended on Friday, April 27th. To date we have amassed over $700.00. If members purchase their samples it will be even more. Please return all display cards, unsold samples, and monies to Susan or Glenda, no later then Wednesday May 2nd which is our last BOD meeting for this calendar year. BELK CHARITY DAYS Fundraiser was held on Saturday April 21rst. Members sold tickets @ designated times and Mall areas, as well as pre-selling to friends, etc. Profit is undetermined to date, but should be available by BOD on May 2nd. Please returned unsold tickets to Judy, Susan, or Glenda. STUDIO 77 MOTHERS DAY PACKAGE FUNDRAISER was April 30th-May 1rst. Results pending.

MBWC

Thank you to everyone who participated in making these Fundraisers successful. It is how we finance our endeavors. Our membership Drive has ended and we have one submitted applicant, Deanna Miller. Currently, we have 20 Active members which includes 2 Honorary), 5 Associates, 2 Provisionals, & 1 Honorary inactive. Resignations letters received and accepted are Sarah Nelson (Associate), Trena Draughn Provisional, Elizabeth Drake, Ashley Connor, & Gwen Rumph Active. 1 deceased member, Rhonda Brown, Please note that the PROVISIONAL YEAR ENDS MAY 31RST. Please check ladies that you are current and in good standing to be updated to Active membership.

Our Lives are filled with Treasures that make a big impact and leave wonderful memories to cherish. Please accept my humble Thank You for allowing me to serve as your President of the MBWC. A honor not taken lightly. I have learned a lot and found a lasting family. We have strived together, to keep intact the purposes and doctrine of our foreladies and I am so proud to have been apart of this. We have accomplished much and overcome many obstacles. It is without any doubt, that a President is only as good as her Board of Directors, Department Chairs, Standing Committees, and members at large.
