I. Project Description:
Teachers play a vital role in curriculum development as they bring expertise, experience and
knowledge of their learners to shape the curriculum. It is also the teachers who have the most important
role in curriculum implementation.
Applying knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching areas is essential for
promoting a holistic understanding of concepts and preparing learners to a more comprehensive and
interconnected understanding of the world.
Teachers need to understand the subject matter deeply and flexibly so they can help the students
create connections between ideas. It is critical for teachers to use their knowledge about best practice
methods to ensure all learners are given the best possible opportunities to be successful. It will also help
the learners equips with skills needed for collaboration and adaptability in the real world.

The following are the steps in the conduct of the program:
1. Preparation of the list of participants in the SCHOOL-BASED IN-SERVICE TRAINING ON
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE OF CONTENT WITHIN AND ACROSS CURRICULUM
TEACHING AREAS. Preparation of school training matrix/design, school memorandum,
attendance, program and evaluation form.
2. Conduct of the training (orientation/ discussion/workshop)
3. Application of the knowledge and skills acquired through the training.
