PRODUCT A two pack solvent free epoxy coating designed for the long term protection of pipelines, tanks land and
DESCRIPTION marine structures.

INTENDED USES Versapox WRAS can be used for the internal protection of pipelines and storage tanks and has been
formulated to provide corrosion resistance to a wide range of chemicals.

WRAS Water Fittings Directory Certificate

Certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61.

Curing Agent Versapox WRAS Activator

Mix Ratio 3 parts Base : 1 part Activator by volume

Specific Gravity Mixed: 1.53

Volume Solids 100%

Recommended Film Thickness 0.5 - 1.0 mm depending on service conditions.

Theoretical Spreading Rate 2 m² / litre @ 500µm

Application Method Airless spray, Brush or Roller

Re-coat After 8 hours and within 48 hours of initial application.

Drying Times at 20ºC Touch Dry 8 hours Hard Dry 16 hours

Full Cure at 20ºC 7 days to Shore D80-90

SURFACE Steel:
PREPARATION
Ensure surfaces are free from contamination. Abrasive blast with grit to minimum BS 7079 standard SA 2 ½ -
surface profile depth 75-100 microns.

Concrete:

Remove all laitance and other contaminants such as dirt, oil and grease by blast cleaning or with the use of
scarifying equipment.
Ensure the concrete is dry to a reading of less than 6% moisture.

APPLICATION
This product is supplied in two containers as a unit. Always mix a complete unit in the proportions supplied.
Agitate Base with a power agitator.
Agitate Hardener Curing Agent with a power agitator.
Combine entire contents of Curing Agent with Base and mix thoroughly with power agitator until a uniform
colour is achieved.

Apply evenly by brush, roller or airless spray to the required film thickness.

For airless spray minimum output pressure 3000 psi and a recommended tip size 0.53 - 0.69 mm (0.021 -
0.027 ins).

Use product within stated Pot Life 60 – 90 minutes at 200C

Do not thin paint with cleaning solvent.

Cleaning solvent. All equipment must be cleaned thoroughly and immediately after use with Pracsolv EP

REGULATORY DATA Packaging Supplied in 20 litre and 4 litre composite packs

Flash Point 110°C

VOC 0 g/litre

Shelf life: 24 months from date of manufacture when stored in the original sealed containers at 20°C.
