If I’m not mistaken, last meeting I’ve gave you an assignment Yes! Ma’am.
which is to conduct a research about the difference of Internet
and network. Am I right?
(Student will raise his/her hand to read his/her
Very good. Anyone who can read his/her assignments? assignment)

Very Good. Thank you so much. Anyone? Ma’am!

(Student raise his/her assignment)

Okay Miss Chris-Ann?

Thank you, Ma’am!
Excellent. You got it right!

So, based on the information that you’ve gathered from the

internet about the difference of Internet and network. I found it
very related and all of your answers are correct. Now, please
indicate 5 points on the upper right of your assignment paper as
your score. Then pass it on the front.

2. Review of past lesson

This time, let’s have a short recap about the lessons that we have
tackled yesterday. And Yesterday we discuss about the
Operating system and its examples and classification. Isn’t?
Yes, Ma’am.
Did you still remember the examples of Operating system?
Then, what are those? 1. Windows 95
2.Windows 98
1. Windows 95 3.Windows 2000 and Windows Me
2. Windows 98 4.Windows XP (2002)

EXCELLENT!! Ma’am! An Operating System (OS) is an

interface between a computer user and computer
Again, what is Operating System? hardware.

CORRECT! The Operating system is a piece of system software

that serves a bridge between software and hardware. It is the
only way to communicate with hardware.

Can you differentiate the two classification of operating system (the student will raise his/her hands to answer the
which are the Multi-users and Single-user? question.)

WOW! Great answers! Multi-user allows for the execution of multiple

task at the same time while single -user is a type
of operating system designed for use on a
C. Motivation computer.

(A teacher will post a cycle graphic organizer of computer

operation process which particularly posted at the right side of
the blackboard. While on the left side are the group of Jumbled
words to be arranged by the students. After arranging those
words, the students will paste the right word on its respective
sequence of stages.)

Before we proceed to our lesson proper, let’s have an activity (students are counting)
first. So, let’s divide this class into 4 groups. Please count 1-5.
Starting here.
Yes, we are!
Are you done class?

Here is the mechanic of our activity for today:

As you can see, I have prepared here a sample pictures of a cycle
graphic organizer about the functions of computer operation
process. And as you’ve notice, under each picture there a blank
space. So, in order for you to fill it, all you need to do first is
kindly get your Jumbled words inside those pockets posted on
my left side. Next, arranged those letters with your groupmates.
Then after you arranged the letters, you may now paste it on its
respective sequence of stages. Take note: analyze the picture
carefully because that will serve as your clue. By the way, this is
only a diagnostic activity but those who got the correct answer
will receive a special reward. You have 1 minute to do the task. Yes, we are very excited Ma’am!
SO, ARE YOU EXCITED!?

Now let’s start!

1. UTIPN – INPUT
2. OEARTSG – STORAGE 1. UTIPN
3. TOPUUT - OUTPUT 2. OEARTSG
4. ISPSROECGN - PROCESSING 3. TOPUUT
4. ISPSROECGN
TIMES UP!! Go back to your seat. Now, let’s check if all your (students are praying to win)
answers are correct.

GROUP 1 – Got the correct answer!

GROUP 2- I’m sorry but you got the wrong answer. YEHEY! Students are clapping.
GROUP 3- Got the Correct Answer!
GROUP 4- Got the correct answer!

For those who won on the activity, congratulations! Because you

will receive a special reward to me later. while those who lose.
Don’t worry, you still receive a reward. So, let’s give yourself a
big round of applause. Thank you so much for the energetic
participation.

your task because you lack one part of computer such as
keyboard, hard drive, CPU or computer?

If yes, can you share it to our class? Student share his/her experienced.

Thank you for sharing your experienced. Class, if one day,

you’ve experienced the same problem with Miss bel. Don’t Yes, Ma’am. Thank you po.
hesitate to ask guidance from someone you know that he/she can

D. LESSON PROPER

Our topic for today is.

HOW COMPUTER WORKS.
Anyways, this is just only a continuation of our topic yesterday.

4 FUNCTIONS OF A COMPUTER
INPUT- an input device lets you communicate with a computer.
You can use input devices to enter information and issue
commands.

For examples:

Keyboard- most used input device. Known as typewriter.

How can you say that keyboard is an example of Input Student will share his/her insights
devices?

Mouse- is a small handheld input device that controls a

computer screen's cursor or pointer in conjunction with the way
it is moved on a flat surface.

How can you say that Mouse is an example of Input devices? student will share his/her insights

Scanner- is an input device that scans documents such as

photographs and pages of text. When a document is scanned, it
is converted into a digital format.

How can you say that scanner is an example of Input student will share his/her insights
devices?

PROCESSING – The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is the

main chip in a computer. The CPU processes instructions,
performs calculations, and manages the flow of information
through a computer system.
What do you think will happen if the CPU is not working on student will share his/her insights
the Computer?
- A CPU is essential for the computer to turn on. If it is not
working. The motherboard will not post and the system will be
unable to start up. The computer cannot access data and cannot
load any software or applications. Can’t generate any video or
audio and the computer cannot connect to the Internet.

STORAGE- a storage device holds information. The computer

uses information stored on these devices to perform task.

Hard disk SSD

Flash drive DVD

How can you say that all of these examples of storage are student will share his/her insights
very important in holding information’s?

OUTPUT DEVICES- an output device lets a computer

communicate with you. These devices display information on a
screen, create printed copies or generate sound.

Printer Monitor

Loudspeaker Projector
Can you explain what is output device? And as a future student will share his/her insights
educator, how it contributes to the different learning styles
of the students? (Visual, auditory, Reading and Writing,
and kinesthetic)

INTERNET- the internet is a global wide area network that

links computer systems worldwide. It consists of multiple high-
bandwidth data lines that make up the internet’s “backbone.”
These lines link to key Internet hubs, which distribute data to
various sites including web servers and ISPs. Within the system
unit. The Internet is made up of millions of networks that are
linked together. INTER connected networks + INTER connected
networks Equals INTERNET.

During this pandemic. How Internet affects your academic Interactive random answers from the class.
performance?

Because computers can communicate with one another. We can:

*Send and receive instant messages and emails

*Examine webpages on other computers.
*Study more about what we learn at school.

NETWORK- is made up of two or more computers that are

linked together so that they may share information or “speak” to
each other. The internet is made up of tiny networks from all
around the world.

Because the computer can communicate with one another, we

can:

*send and receive instant messages and emails

*Visit websites on other computers to learn more about what we
learn in school.

HISTORY OF INTERNET
(Will be presented on the slides)

How does the internet works?

How does my home computer connect to the Internet?
How does the Internet transmit data?

BROWSERS- often known as an Internet browser or a web

browser, is a software application that displays and explores
material on the world wide web.
