RATIONALE
A teaching internship is an opportunity for future educators to gain practical experience
in a work setting. It offers the chance to incorporate experience relevant to a career into the
current work environment. This paper presents the results of the 350-hour teaching
internship, including the implementation and demonstration of the many methods and
strategies that the pre-service teachers learned.
This paper provides the objectives, agendas, and documentation during the 350-hour
teaching internship. It will serve as the basis of how the pre-service teachers accomplish their
internship in order to develop their skills and expertise in teaching. The documentation
presents the actual proof of how I exhibit myself while teaching. This paper shows the skills
and competence I demonstrated and acquired. The reflection of the overall process and
outcome will be evident towards the procedures of this paper.
In this paper, it can be determined the process of how the pre-service teachers
developed and improved their expertise in teaching as they experienced the actual setting of
being a teacher. With the final demonstration teaching as it main focus, we can see how well
the pre-service teacher showcased his/her talent and expertise in teaching as it is the basis of
summarization of the learning acquired during the internship.
II. OBJECTIVES
Through teaching internship, practical teaching experience, and a final teaching
demonstration, the internship program aims to cultivate and refine teaching experience. For
every pre-service teacher to be eligible and recognized as having completed the internship
program, they must fulfill the necessary prerequisites. Having said that, individual objectives
and accomplishments are also visible and mentioned.
This paper aims for the following objectives to be met at the end of the Internship
program:
These objectives are the end goal of this teaching internship program. As the pre-
service teachers center their mind to these objectives they will achieve the highest value that
can be acquired during the teaching internship program. Though many objectives are not
mentioned that has a significant effect on our development. Still, the main objective is to
appreciate and experience what is it to be a teacher.
III. AGENDA
There are several goals during the teaching internship that should be achieved at
the end. These goals are important for the development of skills and mastery in
teaching. As we set objectives while teaching in regular classes. The pre-service
teachers also have their objectives to be met at the end. These are the objectives and
agendas that the pre-service teachers have.
The Pre-service teachers should learn the proper structure of a lesson plan.
Learning how to construct your lesson planning is difficult for a beginner in the field.
With the help of the cooperating teachers, learning how to construct a lesson plan
went smoothly. This is to ensure that the class will go on as planned and to avoid
misconceptions.
Lastly, is to demonstrate the skills, knowledge, strategies, and, methods that was
acquired during the teaching internship. This will showcase my abilities to teach with
the incorporation of the skills that were taught by the cooperating teacher. This last
agenda will be the final assessment on how ready the pre-service teachers are.
IV. DOCUMENTATION
This marks the end of my final demonstration teaching. With all my learnings and
experiences combined, I performed my best in order to showcase the skill that I formed
during my internship in Unson National High School. I received proper feedback, comments
and, suggestions after I finished my demonstration. This allows me to identify the gaps in my
skills and knowledge that will help me to further improve my teaching. The experience of
this final demonstration teaching will forever remain in my memories, as I nurture every
learnings during the preparation and the actual day. Now I will be looking forward to further
improvements to my teaching skills.
