DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES

On the next rnd, remove BOR m and place all


sts between that and the next m on a piece of
scrap yarn. Remove the second m. CO 2 (6,
8, 8, 8, 8) underarm sts. Knit to the third m
and remove it, place the sts between that and
the fourth m on a piece of scrap yarn. Remove
the fourth m. CO 2 (6, 8, 8, 8, 8) underarm
sts. Place a new BOR m in the middle of these
underarm sts. You now have 124 (140, 156,
172, 184, 200) sts.

BODY

Continue working in garter stitch (first rnd


is a purl rnd) until you have 34 garter ridges
(1 garter ridge = 2 rnds), ending on a purl
rnd. BO loosely.

SLEEVES

Place 48 (51, 55, 61, 65, 71) sts from scrap yarn
on circular needles (if you use the magic loop
method). You can also use DPNs. Place a BOR
m at the end of these sts. Note! Do not pick
and knit the underarm sts. Join for working
in the round. Continue in garter st (first rnd
is a purl rnd) until you have 23 garter ridges,
ending on a purl rnd. BO loosely. Repeat for
the second sleeve.

FINISHING

Sew underarm holes and weave in all ends.


Place the sweater in lukewarm water and let
soak for a few hours to make the fabric softer.
Gently squeeze out the excess water and place
the sweater on a towel. Roll in to remove
further moisture. Lay flat, pin to measurements
and let dry.
