Namaste. I welcome you all on behalf of Radiant Tapovan school to the most
awaited event of parent orientation.
Dear parents We are delighted to have you all here today.

Pre primary is very near to our heart as they step into the school first time ,
meet a third person ,leaving their family first time, so we ensure that our pre
primary department takes care of them very well. We tk cr about their fine
motor and gross motor skills so need not hurry and worry.
 school policy& guidelines we need to understand and follow such as

1. School timings :8.30-3.00 pm, remedial- post school. Children should

report school at 8.25 am .
Nursery and playgroup timing -from august 1st will change to 9 am.
2. School uniform is mandatory on all days, Wednesday and Saturday –
sports
3. They should wear Black shoes and white socks on sports uniform and
black on regular uniform., belt and idcard is must
Ribbon specificity we have removed this year unless the hair is really
long. But neatly brushed and tied hair is expected, not to leave open
unless hair is small and a big no for stylish accessories during regular
school days.
4. Bangles and anklets are fine with us unless they create any disturbance
during sports hour
5. Black or blue short for girls above knee length is mandatory under
skirt.
6. Birthday special wishes are given in Sanskrit in assembly. We
discourage the chocolates distribution during birthdays, only chikki or
sweet can be distributed.
Kg ; schedule
 Arrival time- 8.30-8.45am- Assembly
 Morning Routine (8:50 am – 9:30 am) ..guruvandana followed by
phonics and calendar time..
 EVS- (9:30 am – 10.00 am) ...concept time- Read aloud story.
 Fruit break- 10.00-10.30am .
 Literacy time (10.:30 am – 11.30 am) ...English Language
 Out door Play (11:30 am – 11:45am) .
 numeracy (11:45 am – 12:45 am) ...
 Recap time (12:45am – 1.00pm)- second language for pp2 and diary
and seva time for pp1.
Support teachers are available for extra support to needy.

Note to Kg: Getting ready for school mk it an enjoyable task.by providing ample
of time to get ready, it can only happen by following sleep rhythm to go to bed
early at 9pm max and wake up with the sun at 6 am for all age groups. Ensure
a toilet routine is established at home. If children are sick do not send them to
school ,not only to avoid spread but also rest ensures fast recovery

Kg; Story telling at home will compliment the reading and value education class
in school , also tremendously develop right brain. Kindly keep a routine of
home fun time that establishes great bonding between child n parent too.
Keep a track of books carried to school, keep checking school updates through
what's app n diary and erp, acknowledge the same. Kindly take down erp
credentials and follow it , we will stop using whatsapp gradually.

School follow cbse curriculum over all. Chrysalis books we hv from kg-g1 ,
where children have individual 13 story books , Tapovan children read them
very well , parents agree to it right, the only intention to choose is to allow
children to fall in love with the books and develop creativity and imagination.
We picked very carefully, thoughtfully different publisher books to ensure their
gradual maturity meets complexity of books n smooth their transition grade
wise.

Primary day routine starts with guruvandana to set right intent , that sets tone
towards the life goal and Affirmations sets imagination and an action plan is
taken by beginning Classes.
Class time table is shared in diary.
After first 2 periods in think room
1. Fruit break is at 10am, only fruit or any breakfast is allowed- no junk
Lunch time-12.40-1.120 , only vegetarian food is allowed. They should get
napkin and spoon. Kindly provide appropriate quantity, let them get a sense
of completion. We encourage kg children also to eat on their own but not to
force
Tapovan school does many activities. Why we do what we do
Learning Pyramid;

classes end with last 10 min diary time plus seva time, where they clean up
their bag or desk or their class wherever help is required they lend their hand,
this gives an opportunity to develop a helping self-less attitude.

In week days every Friday first period children have long assembly where they
showcase their learning in dramatic way. Post to that they have vedic class.
First Saturday is a bag less day. 1st and 3rd Saturdays they have IKS and
Robotics, music class, Art and craft, AV and dance classes will start soon as we
have our Annual day this year in the month of December, named Vasudaiva
kutumbakam, its practice will start as a part of schedule from next month
Primary: According to CBSE there is no detaining children till g8 when they get
less marks, based on multiple intelligence theory , they can be intelligent in any
different area. But 80% childs attendance is mandatory. If children by any
means not attending assessment, reassessment will not be conducted here on,
they will be given absent that will effect their over all grade but any medical
emergency if medical certificate is submitted then average grade from
previous performance will be added to report.
Grade 10 we have our first batch of grade 10, they will have 80m from board
and 20 internal
Kg and primary: If children are on leave , there is leave record in diary do send
it to C.T if its more than 3 days ,written application to principal need to be
given.
PTM; on pt meeting days parents should meet teachers, for tracking the
progress of child. Any special concerns they can call them post school hours.
You can meet principal on Monday and thrusday morning 9-10 am.
Call coordinators if admin is not available during school time for any concern
but not to class teachers during school hours as their mobiles are deposited.
Please discourage the use of social media for school children , we all know
the bad effects of screen time and gaming, children focus time is especially
diminishing. If still its given , do not hold school responsible.
Both: Transport availing parents kindly cooperate with transport staff. Do not
expect door step drop if the roads are not well or house is too inside, we
generally think about only our own child but it may delay the children who are
at the last stop.
Having a conversation about your child's day in school is a great way to build
communication. Also if they do not talk much about school,it's ok, every child
is unique.
Ensure that you are on time to drop and pick the children to value time
management and reduce anxiety, when they r left waiting n very importantly
not to miss super brain yoga that includes shlokas and cross ear sit ups that
inturn build their neuro cognitive ability and self esteem.

We are conducting 4 ptms for the whole academic year, its given in academic
calendar to parents in june itself. But if u hv any individual concerns, u can
send a diary note for prior appointment, teacher can meet only in her free
period, for preprimary meet only on Friday between 1-2pm. emergency
concerns can be addressed to coordiantors or admin.
I wanted to bring it to your notice parents that children till g5 willl ccarry only
homefun books home everyday, rest all books will be in school, we will send all
during weekend, as bags r getting heavy.
If any child has incomplete work due to any reason . we cannot send other
childs note books home, kindly come to school post lunch and take pics and
make child complete the incompletes. Or you can make a call to teacher.
Field trips, that are coming up next month. COMPUTER SKIILLS ARE A PART OF
LIFE SKILLS, WE HV arranged laptops instead of desktops, that they use in day
to day classes, but we are not using any notes or assessments for it.
We are planning to do parent talk about their occupation and experience in
school voluntarily once in a month on every 3rd saturday. Do voluntarily give us
names for this meeting, we will felicitate.
Parents let us invest quality time with children keeping our gadgets away n
paying attention to their words, encouraging their thought process
appreciating their good deeds instead of focusing on loopholes. Let us enjoy
this journey teacherhood and parenthood. as this childhood will never
comeback.

In geeta it is said “satyam priya hitanchayat” that tells our words are very
powerful, Shabdam brahma. Let us choose our words carefully while talking to
children. pyar aur samman se baat karneka sankalp lenge. Let us reflect on it
mindfully.
