    NARRATIVE REPORT ON SECOND QUARTER


    NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL
    (NSED)

    La Fortuna Elementary School Faculty and staff conducted the 2 nd Quarter National Simultaneous
    Earthquake Drill (NSED) last June 8, 2023. This activity is in line with the campaign of the Department of Education
    (DEPED) to equip the school, teachers and students with the knowledge and skills on what to do incase of natural
    and man-made disaster like earthquake that will strike our area.

    The School DRRM coordinator together with the faculty and staff led the activity. The drill was carried out
    smoothly. All grade levels occupied the designated areas, based on the school evacuation plan.

    Before the conduct of the earthquake drill, the School DRRM Coordinator instructed all the teachers and
    the staff that after the bell rings, everybody must perform the activity such as to duck, cover and hold. When the
    leader had secured already the area to be safe for the students and teachers, they went out from their classrooms
    and went directly to the assigned areas in front of the stage. They covered their heads while walking safely. Then
    the adviser did a headcount to make sure that all students were complete.

    The activity was successfully done through the collaborative efforts of La Fortuna Elementary School
    teaching staff headed by the School Principal and DRRM Coordinator.
