    National Institutions in the State of Andhra Pradesh – Exemption from payment of
    charges payable to respective Urban Local Bodies/ Development Authorities –
    Orders – Issued
    MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION & URBAN DEVELOPMENT (M) DEPARTMENT

    Read the Following:

    1. From Higher Education (EC) Department, U.O.Note.No.1055991/EC-


    HE/2019, dated: 17.12.2019.
    2. From Higher Education (EC) Department, U.O.Note.No.1055991/EC-
    HE/2019, dated: 09.01.2020.

    O R D E R:
    As per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, the Government of
    India shall take steps to establish institutions of national importance in the successor
    State of Andhra Pradesh. This would include one IIT, one NIT, one IIM, one IISER,
    one Central University, one Petroleum University, one Agricultural University and
    one IIIT.

    2. The Higher Education Department in the references read above have


    requested to waive off the statutory fees payable to local bodies, in respect of the
    following (7) National Level Institutions:

    a) IIT, Tirupati
    b) IIM, Visakhapatnam
    c) IISER, Tirupati
    d) IIITDM, Kurnool
    e) Central University, Anantapuram
    f) NIT, Tadepalligudem
    g) Central Tribal University, Vizianagaram

    3. Government after careful examination of the matter and keeping in view the
    long term interests of the State, hereby waive off charges levied on the above
    National Institutions payable to Urban Local Bodies/Development Authorities.

    4. The concerned Urban Local Bodies/Development Authorities shall take


    necessary action accordingly.
