Semi – Detailed Lesson Plan in Introduction to the Philosophy of the Human Person
October 10, 2023

I. Objective
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

A. Recognized own limitations and possibilities


II. Subject Matter
A. Topic: The Human Person as an Embodied Spirit Code: PPT11/12-IF-
3.1
1. Content Standard: The Learner understands the human person as an embodied
spirit.
2. Performance Standard: The learner distinguishes his or her own limitations and the
possibilities for his or her transcendence.
B. Reference: Introduction to the Philosophy of the Human Person, (DIWA)
pp.47 – 55.

III. Procedure
A. Preparatory Activity
a. Pre-activity i. Prayer
ii. Checking of Attendance
iii. Classroom Management
b. Motivation i. Show some trivia information to the class citing
limitations of man compare to nature.
c. i. How was human compare to nature?
ii. Why do we have limitations?
iii. Is there a possibility for an to transcend? How?
B. Lesson Proper
1. Activity The class will be divided inro three. Each group has to
answer the questions being posted in the power point
presentation.

Instruction:
A. Write down in a ½ sheet of paper anything in a person
that cannot be change. Write as many as you think in just
1 minute.
2. Analysis: Employ an inductive approach focusing on the known
ideas that the students shared and connect it to the lesson.
3. Abstraction: Explain the different theories on human nature.
Discuss the ways/steps in evaluating limitations and
possibilities for transcendence.
4. Application: Lesson Activity:
Play a song entitled “BLESSINGS” by Laura Story and
pick some random students to explain or share some
realizations learned from the song.

A. How do you view suffering (as a blessing or cursed)?


B. How are we physically free but morally bound?
IV. Remediation Instruction: (Write in a ½ sheet of paper)
The students will research in google a person who has
disabilities but succeed in their life. The students will write the
struggles of that person and how he/she may be able to overcome
it. Write in a paragraph form and not less than 60 words.
V. Evaluation
On a one half crosswise, answer the statement:

 If you can recognize your limitations think of possibilities on how to improve it. Give
at least 2 examples:
