Program:
TAMBIL" represents "Technology Approach in Mobilizing Barangay Integrated
Learning" in the Maguindanawn dialect, where it signifies the act of extending
something. It stands as the embodiment of the institution's extension program. The
extension projects and activities offered by the College are thoughtfully crafted to
align with the development thrust and priority of the College and are aligned with
the local, regional, and national extension agenda.

X. Rationale of the Project (Brief Description of the situation)

The Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST)


especially the College of Agriculture Agribusiness forestry and food science
already have innovations on native production.

Growing chicken with desired feed formulation could achieve with


sustainable production of inputs to formulate enough feeds. Present native
chicken production has a bigger demand on meat especially the nearby
area in the Municipality of Pres Roxas, Cotabato required large production
for restaurants, street food vendor and other business purposes where
chicken meat is usable. Sustainability of production could achieve by
preparing next generation of batches of chicken by incubating the eggs
produce from native chicken. Hence, the group from the Barangay Del
Carmen Pres Roxas, requested an assistance from the experts from
Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology to promote food
security and sustainability.

This method of growing native chicken was based on the result of


the research of Animal science student in College of Agriculture,
Agribusiness, forestry and Food Science, CFCST, Arakan, Cotabato with
the title of Effect of Ipil-Ipil Meal as Supplement on the Growth of
Philippine Native Chicken Strains. It was revealed that treatment 2 or the
150grams of ipil ipil meal per kilogram of commercial feeds gave the
highest final weight compared to the commercial feeds only.f
XI. General Objectives (only general objective; specific objectives must be on

General Objectives:
In broad terms, the primary objective of this project is to create a native farm
and feed source engaging into sustainable native chicken and feeds production.

Specific Objectives:
1. Establishment of a sustainable and economically native chicken
production and produce locally made feeds.
2. Capacitate community native chicken and feed production through
training and seminars.
3. Generate income from native chicken and feed production

XIII. Methodologies/Processes (details of implementation)

A. Pre-implementation Activities:

1. Training Design Crafting. The training design will be carefully prepared


and formally submitted to the Research and Development (R&D) College
Research Extension of CFCST, demonstrating a meticulous approach to ensure
the effectiveness and suitability of the proposed training program.

B. Implementation Activities:

1. Meetings and orientation (Program meeting).


Within the College, meetings and orientations will take place to
address the duties and responsibilities of both the College of Agriculture and
the Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST). These
sessions will provide a platform for discussing and clarifying the roles
expected from each entity and finalizes the prospect schedule of activities. At
least thirty (30) recipients will be selected. Minutes and documentation will be
recorded attached with narrative report.

2.Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing


Memorandum of agreement will be facilitated by the legal office of the
institution for the construction of the information and legalities. It will be
followed by sending of the communication letter to the clientele to inform
and acknowledge the said agreement activities. This will be attended by the
extension coordinators and stakeholder’s representatives which is included
on the memorandum of agreement for finalization of agreement and
functions of every individual agency. Narrative report, minutes and
documentation will be recorded.

3. Procurement and Distribution of Supplies.


The procurement of necessary supplies such as rose seeds and
cuttings rose garden knife, pesticides, and other required materials will be
undertaken that is also based on the training design prepared by the
extension coordinator. Once these materials are obtained, immediate action
will be taken to promptly establish and put them into utilization by the
beneficiaries with proper documentation of material turn over attached to the
narrative report.
4. Community Training and Workshops.
Provide training sessions and workshops for local residents on various
aspects of rose farming, including planting techniques, pruning, pest control,

and disease management. Administer pre-tests and post-tests to evaluate the


participants' understanding and skill development; re-planning will be
initiated based on the result of evaluation. Travel order, Narrative report and
documentation will be recorded and compiled. This will be facilitated by
proponents and by the participation of students and assigned personnel of
BLGU and other Stakeholders. Distribution of learning materials such as
pamphlets, IEC materials and flyers will also be implemented during the
training and seminar.
5. Project Implementation.
Implementation activity will be based on the schedule that arises on the
result of planning meeting. Materials and equipment’s will be distributed with
the guidance of assigned proponents with the assistance of staff and contact
on local personnel fo proper and smooth implementation. Monitoring and
documentation will be recorded. Implementation activity will be implemented
by the capacitated clientele together with the proponents for guidance and
assistance. .
6. Monitoring and Evaluation.
Regular visits and monitoring will be conducted throughout the
implementation phase and beyond to ensure the proper execution of
activities by the assigned personnel. This monitoring process aims to identify
any challenges or concerns that may arise and provide timely technical
assistance as required. By maintaining a consistent presence and support,
this may assists to ensure the smooth progress of operations and address
any issues that may hinder the successful implementation of the activities.
Result will be disseminated to the clientele before the conduct of re-planning
as needed.
