    “A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE SANGGUNIANG BAYAN RESOLUTION NO. 11-01-23 : APPROVING


    THE GUIDELINES ON FABRICATION, VERIFICATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF
    WOODEN HEIGHT BOARD”

    WHEREAS, the annual weighing of all preschool children or Operation Timbang (OPT) has
    been expanded to include the measurement of height (for children 2 years and above) or length
    (for children less than 2 years old) into what is now called Opt Plus;

    WHEREAS, the measurement of height and length would require an affordable instrument;

    WHEREAS, the World Health Organization has recommended the use of wooden height
    board, for which it has drawn up technical specification for fabrication;

    WHEREAS, there is a need to ensure the integrity of measurement using the wooden height
    board, through clear guidelines on fabrication, calibration, verification, and maintenance;

    WHEREAS, in consideration of the above premises, the Barangay Council of Candabong
    realized that said guidelines are in consonance with the barangay program to minimize and much
    more to eradicate malnutrition in the barangay;

    WHEREAS, that the present barangay officials have envisioned providing basic health
    services, sanitation and the enhancement of a sustainable nutrition program in the barangay;

    NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Milagrosa Bersabal and duly seconded by Hon.
    Filoteo Bersabal;

    RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Sangguniang Barangay of Candabong, to


    adopt the Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 11-01-23 : Approving the Guidelines on Fabrication,
    Verification, and Maintenance of Wooden Height Board.

    UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED AND ADOPTED, this 8th day of March, 2023.
