Course Syllabus in Civil Procedure I
1st Semester, AY 2024-2025

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

A detailed study of the on Civil Procedure as amended by A.M. No. 19-10-20-SC (2019
Amended Rules on Civil Procedure) including pertinent special laws, SC Circulars, and SC
Decisions.

COURSE GOALS:

1. Prepare JRU Law Students for the Bar Examination and practice of legal profession.

2. Equip JRU Law Students with knowledge and comprehension of Civil Procedure,
pertinent SC Circulars and SC Decisions with full understanding of the application of
the Rules on Civil Procedure and doctrines laid down in SC Decisions.

3. JRU Law School Graduates and Lawyers equipped with analytical and logical thinking,
and effective written and oral communication and being able to translate them into
responsive legal reasoning and strategies.

4. JRU Law School Graduates and Lawyers who exercise ethical professional
responsibilities.
