    Membership Terms & Conditions


    This Membership Terms & Conditions shall enter into force on 1st of September 2022.

    Application for Membership

    ESF will process your application as soon as possible, but please note that the process will begin once your
    payment is received. Final confirmation of EFS membership is upon approval of the EFS executive committee.
    Please note that a membership application cannot be accepted without a Proposer or statement.
    Applications without a proposer will be delayed until a proposer name or statement is provided.

    Membership
    • The EFS membership is annual and can be started at any point in the year.
    • There are two differential categories of the EFS membership:
    o Professional - all the fertility professionals should join this category if they are wholly or
    partly working within the reproductive medicine. This would include patients care staff,
    midwifes, nurses, psychologists, coaches, trainers, clinicians, embryologists as well as all the
    other professionals connected to fertility.
    o Clinical – all the fertility clinics and hospitals (if they are wholly or partly working within the
    reproductive medicine) should join this category.
    • There is no membership fee for Professional Membership. There is a differential annual clinical
    membership fee dependent on your membership category as outlined below:

    We care.
    • Membership renewal notices will be sent approximately 1 month before the start of the membership
    year and as a EFS member, you are expected to ensure that payment is effected in time.
    • Members who have not paid their membership fee will be deemed as lapsed members and will not
    receive the newsletter, journal, mailings and discounted registration to EFS events, nor enjoy access
    to the members section of the EFS website.
    • Members whose membership has been allowed to lapse will not be eligible for a travel grant within
    their first year of reapplication.
    • All members who have allowed their membership to lapse must reapply for membership by
    completing a membership application form.
    • Memberships are non-transferrable to colleagues
    • The affairs of the European Fertility Society are managed through:
    o The European Fertility Society C.I.C.
    o COMPANIES HOUSE Registration 13071251
    o Registered office address: 2 Lambseth Street, Eye, England, IP23 7AG.
    • As set out in Society’s Memoranda of Association, individual Members carry limited liability for the
    assets of each Company up to a maximum of £1.

    Personal Details
    • By applying for membership, you permit the EFS and its professional secretariat provider Profile
    Productions Ltd to process your personal details.
    • As a EFS member, you will receive mailings and email alerts from the EFS on its own and related
    activities.
    • As a EFS member, your contact details will be included in the online membership directory which is
    located within the password protected members’ section of the EFS website. The password
    protected members’ section is available to all fully all the EFS members and enables your EFS
    colleagues to contact you. Below data will be shared with other members
    o Title, First Name, Last Name
    o Country
    o Occupation, Job Title, Principal Employer
    o E-mail Address
    o Phone Number
    o Website URL
    o Social media accounts address such as: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
    o WhatsApp number
    • A benefit of EFS membership is access to details of the International Federation of Fertility Societies
    (IFFS) activities. As the EFS is a member of the IFFS, your details will be provided to them on an annual
    basis.
    • Please ensure that you keep the EFS Secretariat informed of you up-to-date email address, as much
    of our correspondence is now via email.

    Cancellation
    Notification of cancellation of your membership must be made to the EFS Secretariat and received before
    the start of the new membership year.

    Note
    From time to time, the terms & conditions as well as the privacy policy will be changed. The terms &
    conditions and privacy policy are located on the EFS membership platform where any updates will be
    reflected. No further notification of changes will be made.

    Terms of payment
    • All membership payments must be submitted in EURO.
    • Payment can be made by any of the following methods of payment: credit card or bank transfer.
    • Bank transfer payments (in EURO) must be made to:
    o Bank: TransferWise Europe SA
    o IBAN: BE81 9671 7194 8024
    o SWIFT/BIC: TRWIBEB1XXX
    o Bank address: Avenue Louise 54, Room S52, Brussels 1050, Belgium.
    • Please quote your EFS member ID or your full name with every bank transfer. Remittance should be
    free of charge to the recipient.
    • Members failing to pay their membership fee for one year will be automatically excluded from the
    EFS membership records.
    • EFS reserves the right to terminate a membership due to a member’s committed violation. Such a
    violation is seen as a behaviour which is harmful to the Society’s objectives or a delay in payment
    contribution for at least a year. The exclusion of a member is decided by the General Assembly of
    members on recommendation by the Executive Committee.
