1.
The bus stop near your house is going to be moved.
The prices in the car park in your town center are going to be doubled.
The hotel opposite your house is going to have live bands on Friday and Saturday
evenings.
Write a formal letter (approximately 200 words) in response to one of the situations above.
Make sure you:
• say why you are writing and complain about the actions.
• say what consequences will happen.
• request action to be taken.
• use a formal style and start Dear Sir or Madam.
I am writing to share my concern about moving the bus stop near my house.
This change will cause many problems for residents, especially older people and those who have
trouble moving. The current location is easy to reach, and moving it further away will make it
hard for these people to use the bus.
Also, the new location may not be as safe. The current bus stop is easy to see, which helps keep
passengers safe. That location could increase the chance of accidents and make passengers feel
unsafe, especially at night.
I kindly ask that you reconsider this decision and keep the bus stop in its current location to
maintain the ease and safety of the residents.
Yours faithfully,
Thuy Trang
2. You are on holiday in a place you know well. Write an email or text message to a friend
to say that you have safely arrived.
Make sure you include information about:

• how you got there.
• what you’ve been doing.
Hi [Friend's Name],
Just a quick note to say I've arrived safely! I'm staying at a cozy hotel in the heart of the city. I
took a bus from home, which was a smooth ride despite a bit of traffic. Since arriving, I've been
exploring the city streets and enjoying the local sights. The weather is perfect, sunny but not too
hot.
Yesterday, I visited a historic museum and walked through the bustling (nhộn nhịp) markets
nearby. I bought some souvenirs for you. Today, I plan to check out a famous park I've always
wanted to see. The atmosphere here is vibrant(sôi động), with friendly locals and delicious food
stalls (quầy hang) everywhere.
How's everything with you? I hope you're doing well and having a good time too. Let's catch up
soon over a call or video chat. I'll share more about my trip and hear about what's new with you.
Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon, is a busy city in Vietnam. It has tall buildings and old-
style French houses. The city is in the south of Vietnam.
One good thing about Ho Chi Minh City is its lively streets. There are many jobs and business
chances in Ho Chi Minh City. The city has lots of tasty food and a rich culture. Not only that
there is always something fun to do, like festivals and night markets.
But sometimes, there are too many cars and motorbikes, which makes it hard to move around
quickly.
Despite these challenges, Ho Chi Minh City has a lot of culture to explore. Ben Thanh Market is
a famous place where you can buy things and try tasty Vietnamese food like pho and banh mi.
There are also nice parks like Tao Dan Park where you can relax and see flowers. You can also
visit beautiful temples and pagodas. At night, the city has street food stalls with delicious food,
and places like Bui Vien Street have live music and people from many countries to meet.
In conclusion, Ho Chi Minh City is a busy city with a lot of culture and energy. The traffic can
be a problem, but it is a great place to enjoy Vietnamese food, learn about history, and see city
life.
I went on a camping trip to a forest near my hometown. We traveled there by car because it was
easier to carry all our camping gear. The journey took about one hour, driving through scenic
countryside roads.
Setting up camp was simple. We found a clear spot under the trees, pitched our tent, and set up
our sleeping bags inside. It took us about 30 minutes to get everything ready.
During the day, we explored the forest trails(lối mòn), collected firewood, and cooked our meals
over a campfire. We also enjoyed swimming in a nearby lake and watching birds and wildlife
around us.
Overall, I found the journey and camping experience easy and enjoyable. Traveling by car made
it convenient to bring all our equipment, and setting up camp was straightforward.Spending time
outdoors was relaxing and refreshing. It was a great way to disconnect from daily routines and
reconnect with nature.
